The start of Wednesday’s series finale between the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago White Sox has been delayed.
Last night, it was the Phillies who came out on top with a 6-3 win. Leading the charge was starter Jesus Luzardo, who tossed seven scoreless innings. However, Chicago took the first of this three-game set with a 6-2 victory of their own on Monday. Slated to take the hill this afternoon for Philadelphia is Taijuan Walker (3.84 ERA, 1.35 WHIP). He’s expected to face off with White Sox hurler Tyler Alexander (4.36 ERA, 1.30 WHIP).
The Phillies are currently favorites (-144) on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the run total set at nine runs. It’s worth noting that the White Sox are on a roll recently, winning six of their last ten contests.
As of Wednesday afternoon, there’s no update on when this game will resume. The expected start time prior to the delay was 2:10 p.m EST.
