The Wings are hosting the Dream on Wednesday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Atlanta is favored by 3.5 points and this game carries a total of 167 points.

Below, I break down the matchup between the Wings and the Dream and give a pick for the game.

Wings vs. Dream preview, prediction

Wednesday will be the third time the Wings and Dream have faced each other this season. Atlanta won the first matchup by eight points and then, Dallas responded with a 13-point victory in the second matchup. Overall, the Dream have had the much better season in 2025 with a 15-11 record and ranking third in net rating, compared to the Wings, who are 8-19 and rank 11th in net rating.

At first glance, you would expect this to be an easy win for the Dream, but there are some concerns for the club Wednesday. First off, Atlanta is playing its second game in two nights after losing to the Valkyries in a 77-75 nail-biter last night. Meanwhile, the Wings haven’t played since Monday, when the team upset the Liberty 92-82 for one of Dallas’ better victories of the season.

Another issue for the Dream is Rhyne Howard (knee) remains sidelined. The guard is averaging 16.5 PPG and was named to her third All-Star team this season. Allisha Gray and Brittney Griner both have taken on expanded roles with Howard missing, but their efforts haven’t translated into much team success, as Atlanta is just 3-4 with Howard inactive this season.

For the Wings, Paige Bueckers is having an outstanding rookie season, leading the team with 18.2 PPG while Arike Ogunbowale has been great with 16.1 PPG, including at least 18 points in three of her past four. For the Wings to upset the Dream, both Bueckers and Ogunbowale will need to thrive, which is a possibility with this game on their home floor in Dallas.

Wings vs. Dream pick, best bet

The Wings are in a prime position to upset the Dream. Dallas is at home, at full strength and coming off a great win over the Liberty on Monday, while Atlanta is without Howard and on the second leg of a back-to-back set.

The Wings are an appealing moneyline bet at +142, but if this is too bold of a call for you, backing Dallas at +3.5 is a safe wager Wednesday.

Best bet: Wings +142
