While the Giants‘ quarterback situation isn’t on the level of Cleveland’s, the state of things under center still warranted a “QB to Take First Snap for NY Giants in Regular Season Week 1″ market on DraftKings Sportsbook. But it doesn’t end there.
How will the quarterback situation impact Malik Nabers? What’s the best way to approach the Giants‘ win total given the state of the offense?
Let’s get into the betting splits from those markets and more betting stats that you should know before betting on the 2025 Giants.
QB to Take First Snap for NY Giants in Regular Season Week 1
As expected, Russell Wilson opened as the favorite in this market. His odds have shortened a smidge, moving from -800 to -700, but he’s still the clear favorite.
That said, there have been some major changes with Jameis Winston and Jaxson Dart’s odds. Listed at third on the depth chart, Dart opened with +1600 odds in this market. His odds now sit at +1300. Still, Winston’s movement has been the most significant, shifting from +1200 at open to +600. His odds remain long, but that’s quite the change.
Looking at the splits, Dart’s longshot odds have made him a public play. Thirty-one percent of the bets in this market have gone his way, but those plays have only manifested 17% of the handle. Wilson has seen the highest percentage of bets at 39%, and those plays account for 62% of the handle in this market, making him both a sharp and public play.
However, there is a slight sharp lean on Winston, who’s seen 18% of the handle on just 16% of the bets. For those looking to make a longshot play instead of rolling with Wilson’s short odds, Winston seems the better option than Dart.
And for those wondering about Tommy DeVito, he currently has +10000 odds and has seen three percent of the handle on 14% of the bets.
Malik Nabers Futures Splits
Under the “Stat Leaders” section on DraftKings Sportsbook, Nabers carries +1200 odds in the “Most Regular Season Receptions” market โ that’s tied for the sixth-shortest odds with Puka Nacua. In this market, Nabers has seen the third-most handle.
Staying in that same section but sliding over to the “Most Regular Season Receiving Touchdowns” market, Nabers holds the 19th-shortest odds (tied with seven other players at +3000). Despite that being the case, he’s fourth in handle here.
However, when we shift over to his season-long player props market, there’s a shift that conflicts with the “Most Regular Season Receiving Touchdowns” action.
Nabers’ Regular Season Receiving TDs line is set at 7.5. So far, the under on that number has only seen seven percent of the bets made on this play. Yet, those bets have accounted for 20% of the handle.
Similarly, the under on his Regular Season Receiving Yards number has seen 16% of the handle on just three percent of the bets.
Giants Win Total
Whether they were at home (3-6 ATS) or on the road (2-6 ATS) last season, the Giants struggled to cover. They almost exclusively played as underdogs, as well, but that didn’t help their cause (5-11 ATS as underdogs). On top of that, the under on their game total hit in 11 of their 17 games.
To make matters worse, New York’s 2025 win total has dipped from 6.5 last season to 5.5. If that wasn’t enough, the under on this play has seen 52% of the handle on just 43% of the bets, indicating a sharp lean toward the under.
If you’re looking for a sharp pro-Giants bet, then look to the “Regular Season Division Wins 2025/26” market under the “Division Specials” section. The line for the Giants there is 1.5 wins. Despite having gone 0-6 straight-up and 1-5 ATS against the rest of the NFC East last season (on top of 0-8 straight-up and ATS against playoff teams last season), the over on this play is the sharp option. On 67% of the bets, the over has seen 98% of the handle cast in this play’s direction.
Other Notable Player Prop Splits
Abdul Carter is the favorite to be named Defensive Rookie of the Year at +250 on DraftKings Sportsbook, so it should come as no surprise to learn he’s garnered a lot of attention in that market. He’s seen 43% of the bets in that market and 29% of the handle. Both are the market’s highest percentages, but those splits do not indicate a sharp lean.
On the note of the Awards section:
- Nabers (+3000) has seen three percent of the Offensive Player of the Year handle on two percent of the bets.
- Jaxson Dart (+3500) has seen four percent of the Offensive Rookie of the Year handle on three percent of the bets.
