The PGA TOUR heads to Greensboro, North Carolina, this week for the final event of the regular season: the Wyndham Championship. Sedgefield Country Club will be the host and measures as a 7,131-yard par 70 with Bermuda grass greens.
We’re looking at another full 156-man field this week with a 36-hole cut. While many of the world’s top players are gearing up for the FedExCup Playoffs, there’s still some star power in the field, including Matt Fitzpatrick, Keegan Bradley, Hideki Matsuyama, and Jordan Spieth.
Below, I have outlined three of my favorite DraftKings plays for the week.

Ben Griffin ($10,100)
Griffin is coming off back-to-back missed cuts for the first time all year at the John Deere Classic and Open Championship, but if you check under the hood there’s nothing to be alarmed about. He gained strokes both on approach and from tee-to-green in each event, but just couldn’t get a putt to drop. After taking last week off to reset, he’s poised for a strong rebound at a course where he’s thrived in the past.
Overall, Griffin is enjoying one of the strongest seasons of anyone on the PGA TOUR this year, with eight top-10 finishes in 24 starts—including victories at the Zurich Classic and Charles Schwab Challenge, a runner-up at the Memorial, and a T8 at the U.S. Open.
Over the last 36 rounds in this field, Griffin ranks second in both SG: Tee-to-Green and Total Strokes Gained—trailing only Keegan Bradley and Harry Hall, respectively. He also leads the field in total eagles made during that span, averaging 0.75 per round.
As mentioned, Griffin has a strong track record at Sedgefield Country Club, with a solo fourth and a T7 in three career appearances. No one in this field is playing more well-rounded golf right now, and when you combine his recent form with his course history, he stands out as a top-tier play at $10,100.
Denny McCarthy ($8,100)
For whatever reason, McCarthy has yet to crack the code on links golf, coming off his first two missed cuts of the season at the Genesis Scottish Open and The Open Championship. Before heading overseas, however, he was in strong form with back-to-back top-12 finishes at the Travelers and John Deere, gaining 2.4 and 5.3 strokes on approach, respectively.
It feels like McCarthy is flying under the radar this week, with DraftKings dropping his price all the way down to $8,100 despite a relatively weak field. He’s played this event in each of the past seven years, making the cut five times and posting solid finishes of T22, T15, and T9 during that span
Sedgefield is a perfect fit for McCarthy’s game—a short, positional course that downplays distance and puts a premium on wedge play and putting. At the very least, we should expect the 32-year-old to make the weekend, which is more than enough at this price point.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout ($7,200)
After a mid-season lull, Bezuidenhout has noticeably picked up his game. The South African has finished T20 or better in four of his last eight starts, highlighted by a T12 at the U.S. Open and a T13 at the Scottish Open. During this stretch, he’s returned to his strengths—strong iron play and putting.
Over his past 16 rounds, Bezuidenhout ranks 18th in this field in SG: Approach and 19th in SG: Putting, placing him 16th in Total Strokes Gained during that span. His history at this event is solid but not spectacular—he’s made the cut in all four of his starts in Greensboro but has yet to crack the top 20, with a best finish of T22.
At his best, Bez is a reliable cut-maker who can catch fire with the putter in birdie-heavy events like this, making him an excellent value at just $7,200 this week.
