The NASCAR Cup Series ditched the Indy GP in 2024. This will be the second Gen-7 race at the legendary Brickyard. As always, trust the data but also trust your eyes. Here are the best bets for the NASCAR Cup Series Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis.

Race Winner — Brickyard 400

Ryan Preece +8000

These odds are way too long. A handful of drivers are undervalued for the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis. There’s unlikely to be an untouchable driver. Driver skill isn’t a significant advantage at the legendary two-mile track. This isn’t IndyCar or 1990s NASCAR — it’s Gen-7 stock cars turning laps. All that matters is track position.

Qualifying will play a role in determining the starting grid but not the finishing grid. This is a strategy-and-luck race. Flipping stages by pitting early is an option at this long track. Stretching fuel could lead to a win, just as it did last month at Pocono — where Preece finished eighth, and all three RFK Fords earned top-10 finishes. Regular-season races are running out. It’s time to gamble, and the RFK Fords are part poker player, part chess master.

Race Winner — Brickyard 400

Daniel Suarez +25000

His back is against the wall. Daniel Suarez needs a win in the worst way possible. A victory is crucial to secure a playoff spot and a ride for 2026.

Suarez will need help — and luck. His odds are 250-to-1, which sounds like he needs a miracle, but that number is misleading. It reflects a typical race, not the unpredictable nature of Indy. The Brickyard could be a game-changer, but it could just as easily go sideways in the Gen-7 car. The Cup Series has raced this package at Indianapolis only once, and that race saw six cautions in Stage 3. If that scenario repeats, why not bet on +25000 odds for a driver who won’t hold back? Suarez earned a top-10 finish at Indianapolis in 2024 and a top-15 finish at Pocono in 2025.
