Major League Baseball is ready to roll with another busy Sunday with all 30 teams finishing out their weekend series. Let’s take a look at some of the top starting pitcher prop bets from the full day of action, looking at the 30 probable pitchers ready to take the mound on Sunday. After taking a look at the matchups, lines and odds available, my top starting pitcher prop bets for Sunday include plays from Michael McGreevy, Logan Gilbert and Kodai Senga.

Every day of the season, DraftKings Sportsbook offers multiple ways to get in on the action with player props, Moneylines and picks against the spread from each MLB contest. You can also pick series winners, award winners and team futures, so be sure to check out all the options available on the MLB page of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Michael McGreevy over 17.5 outs recorded (+115)

The Cardinals took the first two games of a contentious series against the Padres, but they lost on Saturday night and will give the ball to McGreevy looking to lock up a series win.

McGreevy is 2-1 in his five MLB games this season with a 3.49 ERA and 3.23 FIP. He has also gone 8-3 in 15 starts in Triple-A with a 3.72 ERA and 3.30 FIP. He has averaged exactly 5.0 innings per game in the minors but went at least six innings in four of his last seven outings.

In the majors, McGreevy has worked six innings or more in two of his last four starts, including a seven-inning masterpiece in his last contest against the Rockies at Coors Field.

In that outing, which was his return to the majors, he went seven innings with just one earned run allowed on seven hits. He only had one strikeout in that game, but he did a great job keeping the ball on the ground and avoiding hard contact.

He’ll try to follow that road to success against the Padres on Sunday as well. San Diego ranks in the middle of the league in most season-long team offensive stats, but it has been trending down lately. Over the last month, the Padres have scored the fewest runs in the majors with only 81 runs in 25 games (3.2 runs per game). They have a .123 ISO, which is better than only the Pirates over the last month, and have just a .298 wOBA over that span.

McGreevy will look to hold them in check on Sunday afternoon, and I think he’ll be able to work at least six full innings to go over this outs recorded line.

Logan Gilbert to record a win (+105)

Gilbert has been outstanding in his last two starts, allowing no earned runs in 11 2/3 innings while stacking up 19 strikeouts against the Brewers and Tigers. He’ll look to stay sharp against the Angels and help the Mariners take three of four of these games in Anaheim.

Gilbert has a very favorable head-to-head matchup against Kyle Hendricks, who has struggled lately for the Angels, going 0-1 in his last five outings with a 5.32 ERA and 5.03 FIP. He did beat the Mariners earlier this season, but he gave up four runs in six innings. Seattle should be able to give Gilbert the run support he needs to get the win.

He has been able to work at least five innings in six of his last seven outings, but he only has two wins in that span.

Lots of factors go into the “to get a win” prop hitting, but given how locked in Gilbert has been and how good his lineup has been, I like getting this at even money on Sunday afternoon as one of my top starting pitcher prop bets on the board.

Kodai Senga over 4.5 strikeouts (-155)

Senga will take the mound against the Giants on Sunday Night Baseball, and he should be able to get over this strikeout line. While this pick is one of my top starting pitcher prop bets, Tim Finnegan has it as part of a juicy SGP in our DK Network Betting Group if you’re looking for something with longer odds.

Senga has gone over this strikeout line in seven of his last eight starts. He only had four strikeouts in his last road outing against the Royals, but other than that, he has had at least a handful of strikeouts in each start since May 7.

Senga is 7-3 in 15 games with a 1.79 ERA and 3.31 FIP this season while racking up 79 strikeouts in 80 2/3 innings. He’s averaging 5.3 strikeouts per start with a 24.2% K%.

Even though his strikeout numbers aren’t quite as high as they were in 2023, they’ve been solid enough to count on him getting at least five strikeouts against the Giants.

The Giants rank No. 11 in K% in the majors this season with a 22.7% K%. That number has risen to 23.7% over the last month, as the Giants have averaged 8.9 strikeouts per game. Since Senga should be able to get around a strikeout per inning, he should get to five comfortably on Sunday.
