3M Open Picks: Best Bets for Final Round Sunday 7/27/25

As we head into the final round of the 3M Open, the tournament is wide open. Thorbjorn Olesen and Akshay Bhatia are tied at the top at 18-under-par, but with nine golfers within three strokes of the lead, anything can happen. TPC Twin Cities is known for yielding some seriously low scores, making this anyone’s game as we head down the stretch.

Below I detail my two favorite bets for Sunday’s final round.

Chris Gotterup to win +1000

It’s been an impressive stretch of golf for Gotterup. Coming off a win at the Genesis Scottish Open two weeks ago, he followed it up with a solo third-place finish at the Open Championship last week. But there’s been no rest for the weary, as he flew from across the pond to Minnesota and now finds himself in contention heading into Sunday’s final round at the 3M.

Gotterup posted a six-under 65 on Saturday, gaining 2.5 strokes with the putter and 1.7 more on approach. His short game has been stellar, ranking fourth in the field in SG: Around-the-Green and 10th in SG: Tee-to-Green for the week.

After taking down Rory McIlroy in Scotland, Gotterup’s confidence is clearly sky-high. He’s dominated his past two final rounds and now sits just two strokes behind the lead. At 10/1, I’m all-in on backing one of the hottest golfers in the world not named Scottie Scheffler.

Nate Lashley to finish Top 10 +200

Lashley has been striping it as well as anyone in the field this week, but his putting has held him back. The 42-year-old ranks seventh in SG: Approach, 11th in SG: Off-the-Tee, and second overall in SG: Tee-to-Green, just behind Thorbjorn Olesen.

Currently tied for 12th at 14-under-par, Lashley is just one stroke off a top-10 finish and two strokes off a top-7 spot. A former PGA TOUR winner, Lashley knows how to contend at these birdie-fest events. With his ball-striking dialed in, expect him to keep climbing the leaderboard on Sunday.
