WNBA DFS Picks: Three must-start fantasy basketball players for Thursday 7/24/25

By: Alex Hunter

On tap for Thursday night is a three-game WNBA slate. Below, I dive into three of my favorite WNBA DFS targets for Thursday night.

Set your DraftKings fantasy basketball lineups here: WNBA $60K Shootaround [$20K to 1st]

SF/PF, Aliyah Boston, Indiana Fever vs. Las Vegas Aces, $9,900

With Caitlin Clark (groin) sidelined, Boston has great upside and is one of the best spends on the slate. With Clark out this past Tuesday vs. the Liberty, Boston posted a double-double worth 42 FPTS. This was an impressive feat considering New York ranks second in defensive rating this season. This was the third time Boston surpassed 40 FPTS in the last five games without Clark.

Boston’s usage increases to 22.8% with Clark inactive this season and another outing of over 40 FPTS is possible in this plus spot vs. the Aces, who rank ninth in defensive rating this season.

PG/SG, Hailey Van Lith, Chicago Sky vs. Seattle Storm, $4,200

Van Lith is the best cheap option on the slate with Ariel Atkins (leg) unavailable. With the guard sidelined for the past two, Van Lith hasn’t started, but the rookie has been the first player off the bench for the Sky. With the new role, Van Lith has posted 10.5 FPTS in 21 minutes vs. the Dream and 20.5 FPTS in 27 minutes vs. the Lynx.

Now, Angel Reese (questionable, back) may be joining Atkins on the sideline, which would result in even more work for Van Lith. Reese wasn’t seen participating in shoot-around today and with both Atkins and Reese off the floor this season, Van Lith leads Chicago with a 24% usage rate. The No. 11 overall pick from this past WNBA Draft should approach 20 FPTS tonight. Van Lith’s ceiling will increase to around 30 FPTS if Reese sits.

SF/PF, Azura Stevens, Los Angeles Sparks at Connecticut Sun, $9,800

The Sun are the best matchup in the WNBA to attack. Connecticut ranks dead last in defensive rating this season and when Stevens faced the Sun earlier this month, she posted a double-double of 41.25 FPTS. This season, Stevens is amassing 34.1 FPTS in 28.8 minutes per game with a 20.6% usage rate.

Stevens is proving her worth and should continue her excellence tonight. She should finish as one of the highest scorers on the slate in this elite spot vs. the Sun.
