Her efficiency could use some work (39.8 FG%), but the four-time All-Star remains one of the WNBA’s most dangerous all-around threats. After a brutal first few months, Plum’s Sparks have begun to pick up steam. Los Angeles has won each of its last three games, including a matchup with the Sun on July 13th.
Granted, defeating Connecticut isn’t exactly a challenge. The Sun are easily the worst team in the association, having recorded a dismal 3-19 record. That makes betting on tonight’s contest a bit tricky. Will Los Angeles be able to rest its starters before the end of the fourth quarter? Despite their recent turnaround, the Sparks still aren’t a good bet to earn a blowout. When these two squads met earlier this month, LA eeked out a 92-88 victory. During that win, Plum delivered a masterful 23-point performance.
It isn’t exactly a shock to back the over on Plum’s point total. However, sometimes the obvious answer is the correct one. Los Angeles’ superstar has reached the 19-point threshold in 12 of her 22 appearances this season (54.5%).
