For the seventh year in a row, TPC Twin Cities (par 71, 7,431 yards, bentgrass greens) in Blaine, Minnesota will be hosting the 3M Open. There are 156 golfers competing this week and a top-65 and ties cut following the first two rounds.
Below, I have featured some finishing position bets to consider for the 3M Open.
Cameron Champ for a top-20 finish including ties (+230)
Champ won by two strokes at TPC Twin Cities in 2021 and after that victory, he finished T-16 and T-12 in his next two starts at the par 71. That T-12 came just last season and in the final round, Champ was on fire with an 8-under 63, which tied for the lowest score of the event and is his career-low at TPC Twin Cities.
Champ is gaining 1.32 strokes per round at this track and after struggling the last two seasons, the bomber has put himself back on the map with a great campaign in 2025. Champ has made 6-of-9 solo cuts and all of these finishes have been results of T-27 or better. Three of these finishes have come at TPC Courses, including a T-9 at TPC Toronto for the RBC Canadian Open last month. When we compare this field’s results at TPC tracks this season, Champ ranks first in strokes gained per round by a solid margin.
The three-time PGA TOUR winner ranks fourth in total strokes gained when we analyze this field’s last 24 rounds and Champ is an elite bet for a top-20 finish at these long +230 odds.
Mark Hubbard for a top-40 finish (+140)
Hubbard finished T-16 at TPC Twin Cities in 2021 and the veteran returns to the par 71 playing excellent golf. Hubbard has only missed one cut in his last 10 solo starts and that mishap was excusable, as it came at the demanding Oakmont CC for the U.S. Open.
During this run, the 36-year-old has finished inside the top-40 six times, including a T-5 at THE CJ Cup Byron Nelson in May. This event was played at TPC Craig Ranch, which like TPC Twin Cities, is a TPC course that features bentgrass greens.
Hubbard’s best putting splits come on bentgrass and when we analyze this field’s results at courses with bentgrass putting surfaces this season, Hubbard ranks 15th in strokes gained per round. Facing a weak field at TPC Twin Cities this week, Hubbard has strong upside and the veteran should have no trouble finishing inside the top-40.
