Since January 2025, WWE and TNA Wrestling have had an ongoing partnership. The relationship has benefited both companies with WWE’s third brand, NXT, swapping talent with TNA.
A monumental moment occurred in May at NXT Battleground when Trick Williams beat Joe Hendry to win the TNA World Championship. Williams has had four successful title defenses since winning the Championship.
This past Sunday, TNA set an attendance record with their Slammiversary PPV event. NXT superstars were featured on the card with Darkstate, Jacey Jayne, and Williams. With Jayne and Williams walking out with TNA’s top men’s and women’s titles, many have started to wonder if WWE is dominating TNA in this partnership.
While it may seem, at first glance, that this is a one-sided relationship, that isn’t entirely true. TNA’s weekly TV show, “IMPACT!” airs every Thursday on AXS TV and TNA+. Since that isn’t the biggest platform, this partnership with WWE allows TNA’s wrestlers to appear on NXT TV, which airs on The CW. Also, their premium live events air on Peacock, a massive platform.
This has dramatically helped the recent growth of TNA, as more mainstream eyes are on their talent, drawing a surplus of people who will be drawn to their product in the future. So far, this relationship has been positive for everyone and has done a great job of elevating the talent.
