What happened to Alec Burleson? Live injury updates for Cardinals vs. Rockies 7/21/25

In the seventh inning of Monday’s game vs. the Rockies, OF Alec Burleson exited the game after fouling a pitch off his leg. He limped to the dugout before exiting the game and being replaced by Garrett Hampson.

Burleson went 0-for-4 behind the plate before exiting the game.

On the season, he has recorded 88 hits, 44 RBIs and 12 home runs while batting .293. The Cardinals play the Rockies again on Tuesday and Wednesday. They will hope that their starting left fielder is good to go for those games.
