What happened to Javier Baez? Live injury updates for Tigers vs. Rangers 7/20/25

UPDATE: Baez was pulled from the game because he wasn’t feeling right, per Tigers manager A. J. Hinch.

In the sixth inning of Sunday’s game vs. the Rangers, SS Javier Baez exited the game and was replaced by Trey Sweeney at shortstop.

There is no explanation as to why he was pulled as of yet, but as soon as we get that update, you will find it here on DK Network. Baez was struck out twice in two trips to the plate before exiting.

On the season, he has recorded 75 hits, 39 RBIS and 10 home runs while batting .276. The Tigers have a three-game road trip in Pittsburgh coming up and will hope Baez is good to go for those games as they try to expand their lead in the AL Central.
