Rodriguez got the better of Holland in the first two rounds, but Holland had a strong final five minutes. Rodriguez was a +410 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook before the fight.
This is Rodriguez’s third straight victory and first three-fight winning streak since 2022. At 38 years old, Rodriguez is working his way back to the top of the Welterweight division.
11:18 p.m. ET: Patricio Pitbull defeats Dan Ige by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
After losing his first UFC fight a few months ago. Pitbull reminded everyone why he is a former mutli-time Bellator Champion.
Pitbull began the fight with two takedowns in the first round of the contest. But in the second round, Ige picked up the pace. Pitbull dropped Ige in the second round after a slow start. Pitbull finished with five takedowns and 2:44 miniutes of control time.
The next bout is a Welterweight contest between No. 14 Kevin Holland and Daniel Rodriguez.
10:45 p.m. ET: Michael Johnson defeats Daniel Zellhuber by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
Johnson,39, has won three straight fights for the first time since 2015. Johnson knocked down Zellhuber with a left hand in the second round. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Johnson was a +455 underdog.
Even though his career is nearing its end, Johnson remains a dangerous and capable fighter. Johnson is now 16-15 in the UFC. He finished with 84 significant strikes, 28 more than Zellhuber.
Zellhuber falls to 15-3 in his career and has lost two consecutive fights for the first time. In this contest, Zellhuber displayed elite kicks but was too passive with his hands.
