Seth Rollins Injury: Is it legitimate or is WWE working us?

On Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12, one of the biggest WWE stars, Seth Rollins, suffered an injury in his match against LA Knight. Rollins awkwardly landed on his feet, tweaking his knee. Afterwards, professional wrestling fans began to speculate whether this injury was legitimate or part of a storyline.

Rollins didn’t appear on the latest Monday Night Raw, but his “Oracle”, Paul Heyman, had a message. Heyman stated that his client still has 11 months to cash in his Money in the Bank contract. “Seth Rollins’ health isn’t a relative subject,” Heyman said.

Yesterday, Rollins appeared on The Rich Eisen Show and discussed his recent injury. Rollins said that his knee is still bruised and will be reevaluated in a few weeks.

With Rollins and the WWE not providing concrete information regarding his injury, it raises questions about whether it is part of a storyline. The most significant reactions from WWE fans often come when a superstar returns. Pairing that with a potential cash-in would create another all-time moment, like Rollins’ heist of the century.

Heyman dodged questions about Rollins’ health status, but previously, when a wrestler suffered a significant injury, it was confirmed by the WWE. Rollins has a history of injuries, so it’s not surprising, but is it possible that the injury is more minor than initially assumed?

Until said otherwise, I believe Rollins is banged up, but this is all part of the overall storyline. With Rollins’ new dominant faction, it seems inevitable that he will successfully cash in his briefcase, so it is a smart move by WWE to swerve fans in the process.
