The final major of 2025 has arrived, as the best players in the world will head to Northern Ireland for the 2025 Open Championship.
Jon Rahm will be chasing his third major at the Open Championship at Royal Portrush.
DraftKings Sportsbook has plenty of betting options for the LIV golfer this week, and below is my favorite bet for Rahm at The Open Championship.
Top LIV Player (+260)
This bet can be found under the “Tournament Groups” tab. For Rahm to cash this bet, we need him to be the highest LIV golfer on the leaderboard come Sunday evening. He is the favorite for this market, and I believe he will deliver based on his recent form in 2025 and at the Open Championship.
Rahm’s first three starts at the Open Championship did not go well. He finished T59, T44 and missed a cut in his first three appearances. Since then, his form has been much better. In 2019 at Royal Portrush, he finished T11. He followed that up with T3, T34, T2 and T7 finishes in the years since. He has two top 10 finishes in his last two Open Championship starts and will be looking to improve on that at Royal Portrush in 2025.
Rahm’s performances at majors this year have been impressive. He posted a T14 finish or better at all three major championships so far in 2025. He has been just as consistent on the LIV tour, finishing T11 or better in all ten of his starts. He leads the tour in GIR% (74.07), is third in scrambling and seventh in driving distance. His all-around game seems to have taken a step in the right direction in 2025.
The only thing missing from his resume this year is a win, but the consistency is there. Rahm could very well compete to win the trophy this week, but I feel much more comfortable betting on him to be the highest placed LIV golfer on the final leaderboard. There are only 19 players in this market, which makes the +260 odds feel like good value, assuming Rahm has a decent week relative to his previous performances.
