This past Saturday, AEW hosted its most significant event of the year, All In Texas, and it exceeded previous expectations. “Hangman” Adam Page defeated Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Championship, but what is next for the new champion?
Check out what I’m looking forward to for tonight’s AEW Dynamite fallout episode from All In Texas.
1. What is next for the new World Champion Hangman Page?
Page delivered an all-time feel-good moment at All In Texas by finishing his story. He ended the nine-month reign of Moxley and The Deathriders. As we know in professional wrestling, follow-ups are important, so how will “Hangman” address the AEW audience?
After winning the title, Page stated he will be a fighting champion for AEW. Tonight, Page will team with Powerhouse Hobbs and Mark Briscoe to take on Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta in a trios match on Dynamite.
MJF won the Casino Gautlet Match at All In and won a future title opportunity. Although we don’t know when MJF will challenge for the AEW title, he is the perfect heel to go toe-to-toe with Page.
2. Where do the Young Bucks go next?
The Young Bucks lost to Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland on Saturday, resulting in them no longer holding the position of AEW EVPs. The Bucks have used their power as an advantage over competitors, but now that they no longer have it, what will their reaction be?
This could humble Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, forcing them to return to their roots as wrestling workhorses in the tag team division. The Young Bucks have consistently shown an ability to reinvent themselves throughout their career, allowing them to do so once again.
3. What is Jon Moxley & The Deathriders’ next move?
Like The Young Bucks, Moxley has felt he is better than everyone else as AEW Champion, but without gold, where does that leave the former four-time champion?
Even if you don’t love this new version of Moxley, he has still been the most accomplished AEW Champion in company history. It seems like Moxley could go on a run to regain the World Trios Championship with the Deathriders. Another option could be to challenge the new Unified Champion, Kazuchika Okada.
4. Are Bryan Danielson & Darby Allin back full-time?
In the Main Event of All In, two significant returns occurred. First, it was former AEW Champion Bryan Danielson who returned to get payback on the Death Riders. Danielson lost his title to Moxley at WrestleDream in October 2024 and hasn’t appeared on AEW TV since.
It was unknown if Danielson would ever return to action, given his numerous injuries. However, “The American Dragon” delivered his signature moves and appeared to be healthy.
The second shocking moment was seeing Allin appear from the rafters. Allin, like Danielson, competed last at WrestleDream. Both of them are Main Event-level wrestlers, so what will be their next move? I think Allin will be back to being a full-time competitor, but the days of Danielson wrestling weekly seem behind him.
5. Will Athena challenge Toni Storm immediately?
“Timeless” Toni Storm is set for a victory speech on tonight’s Dynamite. Storm ended Mercedes Mone’s perfect AEW record at All In.
Athena is the longest-reigning Ring of Honor Women’s Champion of all time and will be an elite challenger for Storm. AEW President Tony Khan stated that he will provide details of the gauntlet winners’ next moves in the future. A big question is whether the gauntlet winners will have a future title match, or if it can be used at any given moment and cashed in. Athena should interpret Storm tonight to set up their future matchup.
