The first half of the 2025 MLB season is over, which means plenty of star power is headed towards Atlanta. This season’s All-Star Game has the potential to be must-watch TV, with several standouts in action at Truist Park. That includes names such as Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, Cal Raleigh and Ronald Acuna Jr. Before tonight’s Midsummer Classic kicks off, here’s how I’ll be building my All-Star Showdown DFS lineups on DraftKings.

Captain’s Pick
Ronald Acuna Jr. ($14,700): In an exhibition such as this, sometimes playing into a narrative makes sense. Ronald Acuna Jr., playing in his fourth career All-Star Game, will be the center of attention in Atlanta. The 27-year-old superstar has been a bright spot for an otherwise disappointing Braves squad. Through 45 games, the outfielder is slashing .323/.435/.590 with 12 homers and 22 RBIs. Numbers such as those, in such a small sample size, put Acuna Jr. on par with the game’s most fearsome sluggers. Expect National League manager Dave Roberts to give the hometown hero plenty of playing time tonight.
UTIL Picks
Will Smith ($9,600): While some of his teammates get more attention, Will Smith is putting together an impressive season in LA. The Dodgers’ backstop has recorded a .425 on-base percentage, trailing only Aaron Judge (.462). In addition, he’s managed to club 12 homers while playing excellent defense behind the plate. Against righties, the seventh-year pro has notched an impressive .324 batting average. That could bode well in a matchup against Tigers hurler Tarik Skubal. Colorado’s Hunter Goodman is the only other catcher on the NL’s roster. That could allow Smith to flirt with playing over half of Tuesday’s matchup.
Gleyber Torres ($7,800): Few players have boosted their stock this season like Gleyber Torres. Detroit’s second baseman, signed this offseason, has looked sharp following an up-and-down tenure in New York. Over 84 games played, the Venezuelan is hitting .281 with nine homers and 45 RBIs. In addition, Torres has delivered a career-best 129 OPS+. Hitting leadoff for a loaded American League lineup is huge for the three-time All-Star. Reaching base just once could pay massive dividends with Judge, Raleigh and others batting later in the inning.
Jacob Misiorowski ($7,500): After just five starts in the majors, Jacob Misiorowski is an All-Star. The decision was met with confusion and outcry, with several players slamming the move. Regardless, it’s clear that the powers that be want one of the sport’s most exciting young arms pitching for a national audience. That makes the rookie one of the safest bets of any pitcher to make an appearance tonight. Through 25.2 innings of work, the right-hander owns a 2.81 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 33 strikeouts. A clean inning or two with a few K’s is a realistic target for the young fireballer.
Fades
Aaron Judge ($15,300): It pains me to say it, but Aaron Judge might not be the wisest pick for tonight’s festivities. Let’s be clear: #99 is the best hitter, and possibly the best player, on Earth. Slashing .355/.462/.733 with 35 homers and 81 RBIs is once-in-a-generation production baseball fans haven’t seen in decades. However, the big man has a limited track record against tonight’s starter, Paul Skenes (0-2 with one K). In addition, Judge is hitting just .091 through five career All-Star Game appearances. There’s always a chance the two-time MVP launches one out of the park tonight. Regardless, it’s difficult to trust the slugger as the most expensive player on the board.
