DraftKings WNBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball Picks: Top Plays for Wednesday, 7/16/25

By: Charlie Cummings

WNBA action on Wednesday will kick off at 12 p.m. ET. We have a five-game slate, starting with the Dream taking on the Sky. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year isย Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!

This article will examine my top WNBA Pick6 plays for today’s action. You simply choose whether each set statistic will be more or less than the set number. With the stage ready, here are my favorite picks on the WNBA Pick6 slate.

Nneka Ogwumike Less Than 16.5 Points

Nneka Ogwumike has always been one of the most consistent scorers in the league. A force inside and out of the arc, she’s hard to stop once she gets going. But she hasn’t gotten going much over her last eight games.

The former MVP has come in at 16 or fewer points in seven of her last eight games. She has remained consistent, but at a level lower than we are accustomed to. The lowest-scoring game over this recent stretch came against these same Valkyries; Nneka recorded eight points on 3-of-10 shooting. Golden State has been a tough matchup for many a perimeter scorer, and it seems Ogwumike is no different.

Rachel Banham More Than 12.5 Points

The injury report hit the Sky hard for Wednesday’s game. It’s bad enough that they lost Courtney Vandersloot for the season; now they’ll have to contend with the Atlanta Dream without Angel Reese and Ariel Atkins. That’s a tall task. But it sure bodes well for Rachel Banham’s scoring.

All year long, Chicago has been looking for a player who can hit some shots. It’s no shock that Banham getting hot has coincided with their best stretch of the season. Over her last seven games, she’s averaging 13.6 points per game, hitting a scorching 45.1% of her 7.3 three-point attempts per game.

There will be more focus on Banham without Atkins and Reese in the lineup. Even if her efficiency dips, the volume should go up enough to compensate for that.

Alyssa Thomas More Than 15.5 Points

Alyssa Thomas has been on a ROLL. Over her past three games, the WNBA’s all-time triple-double leader is putting up 20.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 10.3 assists per game. As the Mercury navigate health concerns and a tough stretch of the schedule, her play has been everything. And that will be the case again on Wednesday.

Phoenix will be without Kahleah Copper and Satou Sabally against the Minnesota Lynx. This will be the fourth straight contest without the star duo. Thomas has performed admirably in the games without her, including a previous win over the Lynx. In that 79-71 win, AT put up 29 points on 14-of-24 shooting. It may not be a repeat performance, but another 20+ night wouldn’t surprise me.

Kamilla Cardoso Less Than 9.5 Rebounds

There’s going to be a heavy burden on Kamilla Cardoso in Wednesday’s game. With Angel Reese out, Cardoso has sole control of the paint. That means a heavy rebounding burden. And I’m not sure if she is up to the task.

For starters, Cardoso has recorded double-digit rebounds in just two of 17 games on the year. The odds are already against her. In theory, Reese’s absence leaves more boards up for grabs. But rebounds are a team stat as much as an individual stat. You need several players doing the dirty work, boxing out, and keeping tip drills alive. Cardoso has to do it by herself.

Additionally, she will have to contend with Brionna Jones and Brittney Griner. That duo averages over 13 rebounds per game by themselves. The deck is stacked against Kamilla in this one. Make sure to get her in your Pick6 Sets.
