It’s officially the best time of the year, as NFL Best Ball is back on DraftKings.
This format gives players a chance to draft a fantasy football team for a season-long competition that requires no active in-season management, but still provides a full season of drama and competition.

Below I have ranked my top-10 quarterbacks for the 2025 DraftKings NFL Best Ball season.

1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
Allen is coming off an MVP campaign where he totaled 40 touchdowns (12 rushing), and finished as the QB2 in fantasy points per game behind only Lamar Jackson. When Allen goes off there is no QB who can approach his ceiling. This was evidenced best in Week 14 last year against the Rams. The Bills’ superstar became the first QB in NFL history to throw for three touchdowns and rush for three touchdowns in the same game that week, finishing with a career-high 54.9 fantasy points.
Not much has changed for Allen heading into this season. He remains the engine of Buffalo’s offense and gets the nod for me as the QB1, largely because he won’t be competing for rushing touchdowns with Derrick Henry.
In addition, he’s the most easily stackable QB among all the elites, as all of his pass catchers are drafted at pick 76 or later.
2. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
Jackson could have easily been MVP last year. He finished as the overall QB1, amassing a ridiculous 45 total touchdowns to just four interceptions, while rushing 915 yards and throwing for 4,172. The Ravens’ offense is as loaded as it’s ever been with all of Zay Flowers, Mark Andrews, Rashod Bateman and Isaiah Likely healthy heading into this season. The threat of Derrick Henry in the backfield makes it nearly impossible for opposing defenses to key in on Jackson, especially on RPOs and play action.
The Ravens led the NFL in both red-zone trips and red-zone touchdown conversion rate in 2025, scoring on over 74% of their trips inside their opponents’ 20-yard-line. With the offense generating many scoring opportunities, Jackson remains a top-two fantasy QB for 2025.
Additionally, if anything were to happen to Henry (god forbid), the two-time MVP could potentially put up Russell Westbrook–without-Kevin-Durant–style numbers this upcoming season.
3. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders
Daniels burst onto the scene last year as a rookie, throwing for 3,568 yards and 25 touchdowns while rushing for nearly 900 yards and six more scores. His efficiency (top 10 in completion % and passer rating) and playmaking ability helped lead Washington to an 11-6 record and NFC Championship game appearance. With a full year under his belt and the Commanders addition WR Deebo Samuel in the offseason, Daniels should only continue to evolve as a QB.
His rushing prowess gives him one of the highest floors at the position, and as we saw last year with his nine 25+ point fantasy performances (including playoffs), his ceiling remains as high as any signal caller in the league.
4. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
Burrow led the NFL in both passing yards (4,918) and passing touchdowns (43) last season, which was largely a byproduct of how bad the Bengals’ defense was. The good news is, Cincy did very little in the offseason to improve its defensive unit, so Burrow will again be forced to put the team on his back if it has any chance of making the playoffs.
It’s hard for pocket passers to compete with the dual-threat quarterbacks in fantasy, but Burrow bucks that trend due to his consistently high TD% as well as propensity to challenge the 300-yard DraftKings bonus. The tandem of Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins is arguably the NFL’s best WR duo, which should help keep Burrow’s elite efficiency high once again in 2025.
5. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
Hurts might’ve had a slight dip in production in 2024, but his dual-threat ability and the “Tush Push” goal-line play not being banned by the NFL keeps his fantasy ceiling extremely high. With weapons such as A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith still at his disposal, Hurts still has the ability to rack up huge numbers if the Eagles are simply forced to throw more in 2025.
Philly ranked dead-last in the NFL in pass attempts last year, due to the fact that it was constantly playing from ahead. If the defense regresses even a little bit and a few of Saquon Barkley’s long-touchdown runs get stopped short of the goal line, Hurts could bounce right back into the overall QB1 conversation.
6. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Mayfield had a career-best season in 2024, throwing for 4,500 yards and 41 touchdowns, both of which ranked him top-three in the NFL. In addition, he very sneakily rushed for 378 yards and three more scores, making him a pretty underrated dual threat.
Despite losing offensive coordinator Liam Coen to the Jaguars this offseason, the Bucs’ offense is poised to remain elite in 2025. Chris Godwin is set to return from ankle surgery, and the team added Ohio State WR Emeka Egbuka in the first round of the NFL Draft. With future Hall of Famer Mike Evans and second-year breakout Bucky Irving already in place, Baker Mayfield now leads one of the most explosive supporting casts in the league. This also makes it easy to stack him at any point throughout the draft.
7. Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals
Murray showed flashes of his dynamic dual-threat ability in 2024, throwing for 3,851 yards and 21 touchdowns, while adding 572 rushing yards and five rushing scores. With weapons like tight end Trey McBride and second-year stud WR Marvin Harrison Jr. at his disposal, Murray has a really strong supporting cast around him.
The Cardinals are likely to struggle defensively again this season, which should lead to plenty of potential shootouts, especially with Arizona playing its home games in a dome. Now a few years removed from his torn ACL, I’m expecting a monster season from the former No. 1 overall pick. He’s currently being drafted as the QB9 on DraftKings, but I have him ranked as my QB7.
8. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
Mahomes had a pretty poor season last year by his standards, throwing for just 3,928 yards and 26 touchdowns. His production was impacted by key injuries to his top targets. Hollywood Brown missed the first 16 weeks due to a shoulder injury sustained in the preseason, while Rashee Rice was lost for the season after a knee injury in Week 4. Travis Kelce took a sizable step back last season and no longer looks like the dominant force he once was.
With the entire roster healthy heading into 2025, including running back Isiah Pacheco who missed significant time last year due to a broken foot, Mahomes is poised for a strong bounce-back campaign and a return to elite form. The Chiefs ranked second in the NFL last year in pass rate over expected, trailing only the Bengals, and there’s every reason to expect they will remain extremely pass-happy this season with their weapons back at full strength.
This could be a generational wealth spot on arguably one of the five best QBs in NFL history. Mahomes is currently going in the sixth round of drafts.
9. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
Nix posted a monster rookie season in 2024, playing all 17 games and completing 66.3% of his passes for 3,775 yards and 29 touchdowns, the latter of which ranked him sixth in the NFL. He also added 430 yards on the ground with an additional four scores.
Denver did well to improve its offense heading into Nix’s sophomore campaign, adding TE Evan Engram and RB J.K. Dobbins in free-agency, while selecting both RB RJ Harvey and WR Pat Bryant in this year’s draft. Add them to an offense already consisting of the speedy Marvin Mims Jr. and massive red-zone threat Courtland Sutton, and Nix suddenly has one of the best supporting casts in the NFL.
10. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
Goff is coming off a career-best season in 2024 where he threw for 4,629 yards (2nd in the NFL) and 37 touchdowns (4th in the NFL). He has some of the best weaponry in the league in the form of Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Jahmyr Gibbs, which will keep his floor incredibly high this season as well, even if the team regresses a bit.
The Lions led the NFL in scoring last season, averaging a league-best 33.2 points per game. Although offensive coordinator Ben Johnson left for the Bears’ head coaching job this offseason, the core offensive system remains intact.
With Goff getting to play more than half his games in a dome and Detroit’s defense mediocre at best, his chances of repeating as a top-10 fantasy QB are extremely high in 2025.
