12:22 a.m. ET: Katie Taylor defeats Amanda Serrano by majority decision (95-95, 97-93, 97-93)

Taylor beat Serrano by majority decision and ended the trilogy 3-0. Both fighters landed 70 total punches, with Taylor landing eight more power punches throughout the contest (57-49).

With this victory, Taylor moves to 25-1 in her legendary boxing career. This third fight was different from the first two, as neither fighter was as active. Although it wasn’t as good as the previous two, the crowd at Madison Square Garden was terrific. Serrano is now 47-4-1 in his career and suffered her second straight defeat. 

12:13 a.m. ET: Taylor vs. Serrano 3 – Round 10

This round was the best one of the fight, with the fighters throwing big combinations. Taylor landed the better punches in the final round. I have this fight ending via a draw.

10-9 Taylor, 95-95 draw

12:09 a.m. ET: Taylor vs. Serrano 3 – Round 9

Taylor began the round landing the better punches, but Serrano kept moving forward. These rounds are hard to score, but I give Taylor the edge in the ninth.

10-9 Taylor, 86-85 Serrano

12:06 a.m. ET: Taylor vs. Serrano 3 – Round 8

Taylor and Serrano are trading punches. Serrano landed a big punch, but Taylor responded in the last 30 seconds of the round.

Taylor has developed a cut under her right eye. Neither fighter was very active in this round.

Taylor lands a few more counter punches as Serrano backs her up against the ropes. Taylor has done a great job of avoiding Serrano’s big punches.

Through the first five rounds, Taylor seems like the fresher fighter. Taylor landed a few clean punches in this round. There was a lot of clinching in the fifth round.

Taylor started this round with a better pace and is doing a good job of having Serrano on her back foot. This was Taylor’s best round of the fight so far.

Taylor needs to increase her output if she wants to remain champion. Serrano got Taylor in the clinch and landed a few nice punches. Taylor ended the round strong but needs to do more.

Serrano is doing a good job of landing her jab early on. She is pushing Taylor towards the ropes and is the aggressor through the first two rounds of the fight.

Serrano began circling the ring, with neither fighter being too aggressive to start the contest. Not a ton of action in the first round, but Serrano had Taylor on her back foot.
