MLB Best Bets: Top Home Run Props for Thursday 7/10/25

Home runs. Long balls. Bleacher reachers. Whatever you want to call them, people love watching and betting on home runs during baseball games. So much so, we’ve got a whole article dedicated to just that.

With a busier than usual MLB slate on tap for a Thursday, let’s dive in and break down three of my favorite bets to go deep on the DraftKings Sportsbook.

Top Home Run Props on DraftKings Sportsbook

Spencer Steer 1+ Home Run (+500)

Steer looked absolutely lost to begin the season, but things have turned around for the 27-year-old since the start of June. In that stretch of 124 plate appearances, Steer is slashing .299/.331/.521 with a .222 ISO and a 130 wRC+. It’s also a span where if you isolate only Steer’s PAs at Great American Ball Park, you get a .615 slugging percentage with a 1.007 OPS. Not too shabby. The Reds are in Cincinnati this evening, set to finish off their series with the Marlins. Miami will send Cal Quantrill to the mound, a man who is in possession of some serious reverse-splits in 2025. In fact, RHBs are hitting .371 off the veteran with a .451 wOBA. Add in Quantrill’s 13th percentile opponent barrel rate (11.2%) and you can clearly see why I’m forecasting some fireworks on Thursday night.

Cal Raleigh 1+ Home Run (+195)

I know. It’s pretty obvious to take the league leader in home runs (36) to hit a long ball at the most homer-friendly park in the American League since 2023 according to Baseball Savant’s Park Factors. But, I’m doing it. Fight me. Raleigh comes into tonight’s contest sporting an 98th percentile barrel rate (19.6%) with a 96th percentile expected slugging rate (.572). All that to say, his success at the dish so far in 2025 is no fluke. He’ll get a chance to hit home run No. 37 off Marcus Stroman. The former first-round pick of the Blue Jays has struggled quite a bit when available this season, pitching to a ghastly 7.45 ERA across five starts at the MLB level. In those few opportunities, Stroman has surrendered 2.31 home runs per nine to opposing LHBs, along with a .604 slugging percentage within the split. Woof.

James Wood 1+ Home Run (+360)

Look, Miles Mikolas isn’t going to allow six home runs every single time he takes the field. Still, the veteran right-hander has conceded at least one opponent long ball in each of his last six outings, a span of time where left-handed hitters are slashing an eye-popping .314/.315/.729 off Mikolas with seven home runs in only 16.1 innings of work. James Wood is left-handed. James Wood also possesses a 98th percentile hard hit rate (56.3%), a 97th percentile barrel rate (18.8%) and a 96th percentile expected wOBA (.405). The breakout has been real. Wood is simply one of the most dangerous men in MLB as soon as he steps into the batter’s box.
