The Mavericks are facing the Lakers in an NBA League Summer matchup Thursday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Los Angeles is a 3.5-point favorite and this game carries a total of 177.5 points.

Cooper Flagg for 20+ Points (+125)

Flagg will make his summer league debut Thursday, marking the first time he has competed in a Mavericks uniform. The unanimous first overall pick for this past NBA Draft is one of the best prospects the NBA has seen in the new millennium. In his lone season with Duke last year, Flagg averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game, while shooting 48% from the field. The elite two-way player out of Maine was named the Naismith College Basketball Player of the Year, and Flagg should see a massive usage rate for this Maverick’s summer league team.

Flagg was Dallas’ only draft pick this summer. Outside of him and journeyman Maxwell Lewis, who is competing in his second summer league, this entire Mavericks summer league roster consists of undrafted players. Dallas’ entire game plan should be based around Flagg on Thursday, and he will have a great chance to have a large scoring outing. Flagg had performances of 30 points and 27 points in two of his final three starts with Duke, and he is worth rolling the dice on for 20+ points on Thursday at these +125 odds.
