Friday night, boxing is back in New York City at the World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden. The biggest rivalry in women’s boxing history adds another chapter as Katie Taylor defends her Undisputed Super Lightweight Championship against Amanda Serrano on July 11. But that isn’t all, as five title fights are featured on this card. This is an all-women’s card featuring six title fights.
Usually, a trilogy is reserved when a rivalry stands at 1-1, but even though Taylor is up 2-0, that doesn’t tell the whole story. In the first fight, which took place at MSG, Taylor won via a majority decision (95-95, 98-92, and 96-94). Their second bout was in the co-main event of the last Netflix boxing card headlined by Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul. Taylor won the previous bout via a unanimous decision (95-94, 95-94, and 95-94). Although Taylor won each decision, the stats favor Serrano.
Serrano outlanded Taylor 173-147 in the first fight. She also landed 25 more power punches than Taylor did. In the second contest, Serrano landed 107 more total punches at a 44.1 percent rate. Serrano finished the bout with 278 power punches, compared to Taylor’s 208. Taylor is the only fighter to defeat Serrano in the last 12 years.
Serrano is the favorite in this matchup at -175, while the champion is a +140 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. In all three fights, Serrano has been the favorite.
The Undisputed Super Featherweight Champion, Alycia Baumgardner, is defending her title against Jennifer Miranda in the co-main event. Baumgardner is 15-1 with seven knockouts in her career and is coming off a no-contest against Delfine Persoon in September 2024. Miranda has a perfect 12-0 record and went 3-0 in 2024. Baumgardner is a massive -2500 favorite in this bout, while Miranda is +1100.
Another member of Most Valuable Promotions, Shadasia Green, is fighting Savannah Marshall for the Super Middleweight IBF and WBO titles. Green is 15-1 with 11 knockouts and has won two straight fights since suffering her first defeat in 2023. Marshall’s lone loss was against Charessa Shields, who is highly regarded as one of the greatest women’s boxers of all time. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Marshall is a huge -650 favorite, while Green is a +450 underdog.
Here is the full eight-fight card, which will air live on Netflix at 8:00 p.m. ET on Friday. The Main Event ring walks are expected to take place at 11:00 p.m. ET.
