The PGA TOUR is in the birthplace of golf in Scotland this week for the Genesis Scottish Open, which is a co-sanctioned event shared by the PGA TOUR and the DP World Tour. The event typically draws a nice field and is a good warmup for next week’s final major of the season, the Open Championship. If you’re looking to build your bankroll this week by playing cash game or double-up contests on DraftKings, my top fantasy golf cash game picks for the Scottish Open are Rory McIlroy ($11,400), Robert MacIntyre ($9,100) and Harry Hall ($8,400).

Think of cash game picks as laying back and playing a par 5 as it was designed with three shots before reaching the green, looking for a solid birdie. Tournament picks are going driver off the deck to try to reach the green in two — more reward if it works, but much more risk, as well.

Rory McIlroy ($11,400)
Rory won the Masters to complete his career grand slam, but then had a quiet few weeks, including his title defense at the Zurich Classic, a T47 at the PGA Championship, and even a missed cut at the RBC Canadian Open. He found his spark in the final round of the U.S. Open, though, going low with a 67 at Oakmont to surge up to a T19.
He built on that with a T6 at the Travelers Championship and comes to this two-week stop in the UK with strong form and a high ceiling. McIlroy also comes with a high floor, though, which is important for fantasy golf cash game contests, and he comes significantly cheaper than Scottie Scheffler ($13,100).
Rory also has an outstanding history at this course. He won in 2023 and finished T4 last year behind MacIntyre’s huge win. In his career, he is gaining 2.87 strokes per round on the field at this venue, the best mark of any player teeing it up this week.
For fantasy golf cash game lineups, he’s the spot that makes the most sense to start building around.
Robert MacIntyre ($9,100)
The Scottish Open is sure to mean more to Bobby Mac since it’s his home open. He has an excellent history on the track and comes back with good form to defend his win from last year.
He finished in the top 20 in three of his four appearances at the Renaissance Club before getting the win last year, with a runner-up finish to Rory in 2023. His win was no fluke, and he has backed it up with a strong 2025 season as well.
In his 17 events this season, he has only missed two cuts while posting eight top-25 finishes, including four top-10 finishes. He finished in the top 10 at THE PLAYERS and also finished runner-up to J.J. Spaun ($8,100) at the U.S. Open. He has four top-20 finishes in his last five events coming into this week’s title defense.
Over the last 20 rounds, he ranks sixth in the field in Total Strokes Gained and 16th in Strokes Gained: Approach. His putter has also been rolling well, and he should be extremely comfortable on the greens at the Renaissance Club based on his past success.
Harry Hall ($8,400)
Hall comes to the Renaissance Club with great form and should be good to go in the links format. In 2025, he has been very consistent and has a high floor while also being able to also go low and contend if he’s at his best.
Hall has made the cut in 11 straight starts and has posted a top-25 finish in each of the last six tournaments. During that stretch, he has top-10 finishes at the Travelers and Charles Schwab Challenge.
Last year, Hall played in the alternate PGA TOUR event to the Scottish Open at the ISCO Championship, and he claimed his first PGA TOUR title by winning a five-man playoff. He played this event in 2023 and finished T60 in his debut at this event.
Over the last 24 rounds, Hall leads the field in Strokes Gained: Putting and ranks third in Total Strokes Gained. His short game and good work around the greens usually helps him go low in a hurry and avoid big scores, which is key to success in Scotland.
