Nationals at Cardinals game delayed due to rain Tuesday 7/8/25

START TIME UPDATE: Nationals at Cardinals is now scheduled for 10 p.m. EST.

The start of Tuesday evening’s matchup between the Washington Nationals and St. Louis Cardinals has been delayed due to rain.

First pitch was initially scheduled for 7:45 p.m. EST but inclement weather in the area will prevent the contest from starting on time. A new start time has not yet been provided.

The Cardinals are strong -240 favorites on the Moneyline at home on DraftKings Sportsbook while the Nationals are +193 underdogs to win outright. The run total sits at eight.

Once the rain delay ends, St. Louis’ Sonny Gray (3.51 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, 107 SO) starts against Washington’s Jake Irvin (4.71 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 75 SO).
