Blue Jays at White Sox game delayed due to rain Tuesday 7/8/25

UPDATE: The game has been called due to rain.

Tuesday evening’s matchup between the Toronto Blue Jays and Chicago White Sox is now in a delay due to rain.

The two sides made it to the top of the seventh inning before the weather at Rate Field took a turn and forced the contest to a halt. No time for resumption of play has been announced yet.

When the rain delay hit, the Blue Jays held a commanding 6-1 lead in the road matchup. Betting lines on DraftKings Sportsbook have since been frozen for the time being.

Toronto had 12 hits at the time play was stopped, including multi-hit efforts from George Springer, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Alejandro Kirk and Joey Loperfido. Davis Schneider mashed the Jays’ lone home run, while a solo shot from Josh Rojas gave the White Sox their lone run of the outing.
