The FIFA Club World Cup has flown by, and all of a sudden we are down to the last four remaining teams. Chelsea will play Fluminense on Tuesday, followed by PSG facing Real Madrid on Wednesday for both spots in Sunday’s final.
Below is my favorite bet on DraftKings Sportsbook for the next stage of the competition.
PSG Moneyline (+140)
PSG beat Bayern Munich with nine men in the quarter-finals, and that performance is enough to convince me that not only will they beat Real Madrid in this one, but I think they will go on to lift the trophy on Sunday. They had less possession and less shots than the German side, but they are so clinical and effective on the counter-attack that it didn’t matter.
This team are not invincible, however, as they did suffer a shock 1-0 loss to Botafogo in the group stage. That loss is still mind-boggling, as the French side have won nine of their last 10 games in all competitions, including wins over Arsenal, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich. I am chalking up that loss as a fluke, as they have picked up where they left off in their last few matches. Real Madrid have also been one of the best teams in this tournament, but I think PSG are a level above just about any team on the planet right now.
Don’t let that shock loss to Botafogo distract you from what this team has been doing to some of the best sides on the planet. The one goal conceded in the Botafogo loss was the only goal they have let in this entire tournament, while scoring 12 going the other way. I expect PSG to beat Madrid inside 90 minutes before beating the winner of the other semi-final on Sunday.
