Best Rafael Devers Prop Bets for Giants vs. Athletics on Sunday 7/6/25

In the final matchup of today’s 15-game MLB slate, the Athletics will host the Giants. Rafael Devers and company will be looking to win the rubber match after the two teams split the opening two games of the series.

Devers has made plenty of waves this season and was traded from the Red Sox to the Giants roughly three weeks ago. Across his opening 18 games in San Francisco, Devers is slashing .221/.325/.382. While he has not performed fully up to expectations to this point, Devers enters this game on a five-game hitting streak with four RBIs across this stretch.

Jacob Lopez will get the start for the Athletics tonight. The 27-year-old is posting a 3.88 ERA on the season with 56 strikeouts and 20 earned runs allowed across his first 46.1 innings pitched.

Looking at the odds for the matchup, the Athletics enter as narrow -120 favorites on the Moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Giants hold +100 odds of getting the outright victory and +147 odds on the -1.5 run line with the game total set at O/U 10 total runs.

See below for my top Rafael Devers prop bets.

Best Rafael Devers Prop Bets

Rafael Devers to Record a Walk (+135)

Sometimes, the biggest value in having a high profile is the fear he instills in opponents. Devers ranks second in the MLB in walks this year, trailing only Juan Soto, with 67 in 91 games. He has walked 11 times across the opening 18 games with the Giants.

Lopez has done a solid job controlling his walks this season, with just 18 tallied across his first 46.1 innings pitched. However, he has walked at least one hitter in each of his past eight starts, including five across his past three starts. San Francisco has hit a rough patch with its overall offense, which should increase Lopez’s willingness to pitch around Devers. The Giants have ranked in the bottom five in OPS and wOBA against left-handers since the start of May.

He’s coming off two walks yesterday and will continue to carry his typical commanding presence in the batter’s box. Getting +135 odds for Devers to record a walk for something in 67 of the 91 (73.6%) of the games this season is great value. Look for him to be put on base at least once in this matchup tonight.

Rafael Devers Over 1.5 Total Bases (+110)

The 28-year-old has been solid since coming to San Francisco, but has not hit his full stride just yet. His five-game hitting streak is encouraging, including three doubles in the past five games. He enters this game having tallied over 1.5 total bases in back-to-back games entering tonight and three of the past five games.

While the left-handed matchup can sometimes be a red flag, Devers has produced even better when facing left-handed pitching this season. Against right-handed pitchers, he is slashing .247/.389/.475. When facing left-handed pitching, those numbers are .289/.381/.488.

Devers has yet to face Jacob Lopez in his career, but with just 69.0 career innings under his belt, he could be in for a rude awakening. The Giants star has not yet fully hit his stride with his new team, but feels on the cusp of a full breakout. With a double in back-to-back games already, I like him to keep this trend going and get hold of at least one and tally over 1.5 total bases tonight.
