When will Corbin Carroll return from the injured list?

Updated:

By: Zach Thompson

On Saturday, the Diamondbacks activated Corbin Carroll from the 10-day injured list and will get the superstar outfielder back, and he’ll be ready to return to action on Saturday afternoon when the Dbacks take on the Royals at 4:10 p.m. ET in the second game of their two-game series.

Carroll has been sidelined since June 18 due to a fracture in his left wrist. It was a chip fracture, which is why he was able to return so quickly despite the serious injury. He sustained the injury when he was hit on the hand against the Blue Jays.

Corbin Carroll got in one rehab game in the Arizona Complex League, but he’s apparently ready to return as the Dbacks face Michael Wacha and the Royals.

In DFS contests like the MLB $6K Relay Throw $2K to 1st, Carroll is $5,600, and he’ll bring a high ceiling if he’s back in his typical spot at the top of the order. Before the injury, Carroll averaged 10.5 fantasy points per game in his first 72 games this season. He had 20 homers and 10 steals through 72 games, making him one of the most productive outfield options to build around in matchups like this one.

Whenever a player returns from a wrist injury like this, the question is if the player will be lacking any power. Keep an eye on Carroll’s return to see if he’ll be able to pick up where he left off before the injury.
