Roman Reigns has only made one appearance since WrestleMania 41, and that was at the Monday Night Raw afterward. But after being attacked by Seth Rollins and his new group, he has been out of action.
But with the first two-day SummerSlam quickly approaching, the Tribal Chief’s return seems near. Reigns didn’t compete at SummerSlam last year but made his return in Cleveland to attack Solo Sikoa. Reings has appeared at every WrestleMania and SummerSlam in the previous four years and hasn’t missed the biggest party of the summer since 2020. Reigns wrestled Jey Uso in 2023 at SummerSlam, which was his last match at the event.
For the second straight year, SummerSlam will take place during the first weekend of August. With only four weeks to go until WWE’s second biggest premium live event, their biggest star should be back in the fold soon.
The next major event for the WWE is Saturday Night’s Main Event, scheduled for July 12 in Atlanta, Georgia. This could be the place where Reigns returns, as Georgia has significance to his life. Reigns played for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team from 2003 to 2006. The most realistic feud for Reigns’ return is one to resume with Seth Rollins. Their rivalry doesn’t seem finished, and with Rollins facing LA Knight at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Reigns attacking Rollins makes perfect sense. Even without a championship on the line, a match between Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins at SummerSlam would be a huge showdown.
