There’s nothing more fitting than some fireworks on the Fourth of July, right?
On a slate where we’ll get baseball all day long, here are my top three bets to hit a home run on Friday.
Top Home Run Props on DraftKings Sportsbook
Byron Buxton 1+ Home Run (+205)
Considering that no pitcher in MLB has surrendered more opponent home runs this season than Zack Littell (23), there was really no other place to begin this article. If you want to nitpick, Littell has allowed more long balls per nine to left-handed hitters so far in 2025 (2.17), but it’s not like he’s been amazing versus RHBs, either. In fact, Littell’s conceded 1.83 home runs per nine to righties while only striking out 16.4% of the 238 he’s seen. That means a lot of hard contact is taking place. Meanwhile, Buxton is an extreme pull hitter with eight homers since June 17. For the season as a whole, Buxton is in possession of 92nd percentile marks in both barrel rate (15.7%) and hard hit rate (53.4%). In layman’s terms, he’s viable to go deep at any time.
George Springer 1+ Home Run (+340)
You can over-think this if you must, but after a pair of multiple home run performances in the past three days, Springer deserves some love in this article. Even putting aside recency bias, the veteran outfielder leads all Blue Jays players in long balls this season (15), and he’s in possession of 96th percentile marks in both expected wOBA (.403) and expected slugging rate (.566). Kyle Hendricks is another crucial piece of this home run puzzle. The 35-year-old has been decent since signing with the Angels, yet he’s also surrendered 2.25 long balls per nine to opposing RHBs. Look for another huge Springer showing this evening.
Andrew Benintendi 1+ Home Run (+600)
The concept of the White Sox at Coors Field is a funny thing. I mean, only with this franchise could a team’s leader in both home runs (10) and ISO (.206) be listed all the way down at +600 to go deep in the altitude. However, I’m more than willing to potentially reap the rewards. Benintendi is actually having a pretty decent campaign, at least in context of his teammates. That .206 ISO is easily a career-best and Benintendi is on pace to set a new career-high in homers, after knocking 20 out of the park in 2024. The man has an 82nd percentile barrel rate (13.5%). If you squint, he’s sort of a power hitter now. Then there’s the Antonio Senzatela aspect of this prop. Across his last 14 starts, the Rockies’ right-hander has surrendered 1.65 opponent home runs per nine. That’ll play.
