A’ja Wilson just became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 5,000 points, and she’s not slowing down anytime soon. The reigning MVP has averaged 22.8 points over her last five games, currently sits second in the league in points per game—just behind powerhouse Napheesa Collier—and is coming off a monster performance with 26 points and 18 rebounds in a three-point win over the Mercury on Sunday. While her Aces are set to face the Commissioner’s Cup champions, the Fever rank 8th in points allowed per game (80.1) and will need another dominant defensive effort from Natasha Howard—who held Collier to just 12 points on Tuesday—to contain Wilson.
Kelsey Mitchell Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made
I’ll be honest—I was initially leaning toward the under here, especially after Kelsey Mitchell missed all five of her three-point attempts in Tuesday’s Commissioner’s Cup Final. But let’s look at the facts. The Fever not only played the top-ranked team in the league—and won—but also faced a Lynx squad that leads the league in defensive rating (93.9), opponent points per game allowed (74.1), and ranks second in opponent three-point percentage (29.1). Tonight, Mitchell won’t be up against such a suffocating perimeter defense, as the Aces rank 10th in opponent three-point percentage (34.8). Plus, Mitchell hit three or more threes in each of her four games prior to Tuesday, and I like that trend to bounce back tonight.
Fever Alternate Spread (+3.5)
No Caitlin Clark? No problem. The Fever dominated the Lynx on Tuesday to win the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Final 74–59 as massive underdogs, and calling it a team effort would be an understatement. Natasha Howard posted a 16-point, 12-rebound double-double and nearly shut down current scoring leader Napheesa Collier, holding her to just 12 points on 6-of-18 shooting. Three other Fever players—Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, and Aari McDonald—each added 12 points, showcasing this squad’s resilience despite the absence of last year’s Rookie of the Year. I don’t expect the momentum to fade just yet, and I like the Fever to cover in this matchup.

With A’ja Wilson in full scoring-machine mode, Kelsey Mitchell poised to rain from three, the Fever riding the momentum of their in-season tournament victory, and Jackie Young shooting at least 50% from the field in each of her last three games, I believe the shots will be falling tonight. Both teams are averaging over 80 points per game, and the Fever have put up an average of 89.25 across their last eight outings. Yeah—I like the over.
