In the AFC East, the Bills are looking to defend their crown for the sixth straight season. For the 2025-26 season, the Bills are -260 favorites to win the AFC East at DraftKings Sportsbook.
AFC East Winner Odds

The past 25 years in the AFC East have been defined by two distinct eras. First, the Patriots went on one of the most dominant runs in sports history, winning 16 out of 17 AFC East titles from 2003-2019. The only year they didn’t win the division was the year they were without Tom Brady, and even then, they finished 11-5 and only lost the division on a conference record tiebreaker. However, since Brady left New England, it has been Josh Allen and the Bills’ turn to dominate the AFC East. Dating back to 2020, the Bills have now won five straight AFC East titles, and many of them have been by a comfortable margin. The Bills’ ultimate goal is to win the Super Bowl, something they still hope to achieve under Josh Allen, but it starts by winning the AFC East.
Buffalo is a significant favorite to win the division. At -260, it has the best odds to win its division of any team in the NFL. Barring an injury to Josh Allen or some dramatic drop-off as a team, the Bills should cruise to an AFC East crown. Not only do they have one of the best teams in the NFL, but all of the teams chasing them are still far away. The Patriots have the second-best odds to win the AFC East, despite finishing 4-13 last season. The Patriots are excited about Drake Maye as their quarterback of the future, and they brought in the highly sought-after Mike Vrabel to be their new head coach. The Patriots should take a step forward with a more experienced Maye and an improved coaching situation, but it’s hard to picture them going from four wins to legitimately contending for the division.
Following the Patriots on the odds board is the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins had a disappointing 2024-25 season. They went 11-6 in 2023-24 and lost out on the division because of losing both games head-to-head against the Bills. It seemed as if they were on the cusp of knocking the Bills off their perch before going 8-9 last season. Tua Tagovailoa’s injury issues prevented the Dolphins from ever finding a real rhythm. They will hope that Tagovailoa can stay healthy in 2025 so they have a chance to compete with their best players once again.
At the back of the pack, somewhere they have been for decades now, are the New York Jets. After a disastrous two seasons with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, the Jets decided to clean house. They brought in a new general manager, coaching staff, quarterback and more. Former Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn was brought in to be the new head coach, a decision that got a lot of praise around the league. The Jets then decided to sign Justin Fields rather than pursue a quarterback in the draft. They are +1800 to win the AFC East, and Jets fans will just be hoping to see any basic signs of improvement under their new leadership.
My favorite future bet on this division is for the Dolphins to finish in second place. Despite the Dolphins being the more successful team over the last several seasons, the Patriots have jumped them on the odds board. Between the jump expected to be made in New England with Drake Maye and Mike Vrabel and the lack of trust in Tua Tagovailoa’s health, the Patriots have better odds to win the division and finish second. While the distrust in Tagovailoa’s health is understandable, the Dolphins have the better roster, especially at key positions. Even if Tagovailoa can play most of their games next year, the Dolphins should at least match last year’s win total of eight games. It would take a massive leap forward for the Patriots to win more than eight games next season. The Dolphins have finished in second place three seasons in a row and should make it four in a row next season.
