The PGA TOUR concludes its two-week stop in the Midwest with a trip to the Quad Cities for this year’s edition of the John Deere Classic. Like last week, we should get another low-scoring week with an abundance of birdies and plenty of drama. If you’re looking to build your bankroll ahead of the Scottish Open and The Open Championship over the next two weeks, one way to do so is by checking out the cash game or double-up contests on DraftKings. My top fantasy golf cash game picks this week are Ben Griffin ($10,400), Mark Hubbard ($7,700), and Kevin Roy ($7,400).

The pivot plays for tournament lineups are more aggressive, while these three picks are generally safer with higher floors and lower risk. The picks in this post typically have much higher ownership than my pivot plays, but they are good selections for contests in which your lineup being unique is less important. Think of cash game picks as laying back and playing a par 5 as it was designed with three shots before reaching the green, looking for a solid birdie. Tournament picks are going driver off the deck to try to reach the green in two — more reward if it works, but much more risk, as well.
These picks are best used in “cash games,” which are contests that pay out to about the top half of entries. Typically, they are in the 50/50s & Double Ups or Head-to-Head sections of the DraftKings lobby.

Ben Griffin ($10,400)
Ben Griffin has been one of the biggest stories on the PGA TOUR this year, emerging as a top fantasy option and turning in consistently high finishes while playing almost every week. He brings far-and-away the best form and also has been consistently excellent despite his grueling schedule.
Last week, he finished T13 at Detroit Golf Club, giving him six straight top-15 finishes, including a win at the Charles Schwab Challenge, a runner-up at the Memorial and top-10 finishes at the PGA Championship and U.S. Open.
Griffin leads the field in just about everything over the past few tournaments. He leads the way in Total Strokes Gained and Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green over the last 20 rounds while ranking second in Strokes Gained: Approach.
On top of all the recent smoke he brings, he also has a great history on this course, where he finished T5 last year in his debut before his breakout 2025 season.
While he may be the big fish in the small pond this week and a very popular play, he also brings a lot of upside and a great chance to finish near the top since he has been locked on the leaderboard for the past few months. As a fantasy golf cash game play, Griffin is too solid to ignore.
Mark Hubbard ($7,700)
If you’re going to spend on Griffin, the rest of your roster will have to be a little cheaper, but there are plenty of very solid options around $8,000, including Hubbard, who has also been playing well and comes in with nice course history.
The 36-year-old Hubbard is still searching for his first PGA TOUR win, but he has been consistent after a slow start to the season and has made the cut in five of his last six tournaments, with the one exception being the U.S. Open. He starts the week with some work to do since he is No. 89 in the FedExCup standings and looking to push into the top 70 with a few strong weeks leading up to the playoffs.
Over his last eight events, Hubbard has five top-30 finishes, with a pair of top-10 finishes at the low-scoring tournaments at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson and the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic. Last week at the low-scoring Rocket Classic, Hubbard was in the mix late but faded to T13 after a disappointing 71 on Sunday. He still finished with 25 birdies on the week and was especially sharp on approach and with his flat stick.
Over the last 24 rounds, Hubbard ranks second behind only Griffin in Total Strokes Gained and also ranks ninth in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green. While his putter can be streaky, he typically excels on bentgrass greens like he’ll see this week.
In addition to his good form, Hubbard is a good play this week based on his good track record at this venue. He has made the cut in four straight years with a pair of top-15 finishes. Last year, he finished T32 despite four straight rounds in the 60s.
Hubbard is the kind of steady performer who makes sense in fantasy golf cash game lineups, but he also could pop for a high finish if things go his way.
Kevin Roy ($7,400)
Roy is another veteran player looking for valuable FedExCup points coming down the stretch. He starts the week at No. 88 in the FedExCup points race, looking to build on his strong finish from last week.
Roy sprinted off the starting line last week with a round of 62 that had him tied for the lead with Aldrich Potgieter ($7,900). Potgieter got the win after a playoff on Sunday, while Roy ultimately finished T8, for his second top-10 finish of the season.
While he hasn’t been a regular in the top 10, Roy has made the cut in seven straight individual events dating back to the start of April, including top-25 finishes at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson and the RBC Canadian Open, in addition to last week’s at the Rocket Classic.
The strength of Roy’s game has been his approach work, which is one of the more sustainable metrics from week to week. He leads the entire field in Strokes Gained: Approach over the last 12 rounds and ranks seventh in Total Strokes Gained and Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green over that span.
Roy doesn’t have as much history at this course as Hubbard but did make the cut in 2023 when he made his debut at this course. He finished T31 that week and could have finished much higher if he hadn’t faded with a 73 on Sunday.
While he isn’t a well-known name, he brings a good blend of form and course history, that gives him a high floor and ceiling this week at the Deere.
