Aaron Judge is having another amazing season at the plate for the New York Yankees and is showing no signs of slowing down.
This is a look at the odds for Judge to win the American League Triple Crown on DraftKings Sportsbook.
American League Triple Crown Odds
Aaron Judge has won two of the past three American League MVP awards and is hoping to win his third MVP this season. Not only does he have his sights set on an AL MVP and a Yankees World Series, but the American League Triple Crown is in play for Judge. This would be a truly historic feat by Judge if he is able to pull it off. Only one player since 1967 has pulled off a batting Triple Crown, and that was Miguel Cabrera for the Tigers in 2012. Judge has led the MLB in home runs in two of the past three seasons, in 2022 and 2024. In both of those seasons, Judge also led the MLB in RBIs. So, twice in Judge’s career, he has led not just the American League but the entire MLB in two of the three legs of the Triple Crown.
The thing that always seemed impossible for Judge to achieve this feat would be the batting average title. For such a prolific power hitter, Judge has always had a solid batting average, but he took it to the next level in 2024. He had a career-best batting average of .322, which was third-best in baseball behind Bobby Witt Jr. and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Unfortunately for Judge, both of those players are in the American League. If Judge had the exact same numbers in 2024 but he was on a National League team, he would have won the National League Triple Crown. In order to win the Triple Crown, Judge just needs to lead the American League, not the entire MLB, in those three categories in 2025.
As of July 1st, Judge ranks second in the AL in home runs and RBIs, behind Seattle’s Cal Raleigh in both categories. He does, however, lead the entire MLB in batting average. Judge’s .354 batting average is simply absurd and still significantly better than the next-best player. It is deep enough into the season to say that these numbers seem very sustainable for Judge. The question is whether he can catch Raleigh in home runs and RBIs. He is not far behind at the moment, and it would just take a cool stretch from Raleigh for Judge to chase him down. This is the best season of Raleigh’s career, while Judge has now sustained numbers like this over a full season in two of the past three years. It seems more likely that Judge would sustain his pace than Raleigh.
So, at the current odds on DraftKings Sportsbook, it seems worth a bet on Aaron Judge to win the American League Triple Crown at +175. If he maintains his level of production, his numbers will be historically great. It would be hard for Cal Raleigh to maintain his current pace throughout an entire season. That would put Judge in line to lead all three categories in the American League, making him just the second Triple Crown winner of the modern era.
