Ilia Topuria knocked out Charles Oliveira in the first round at UFC 317 to become a two-division champion. Topuria is the 10th two-division champion and the first undefeated one in UFC history. After Topuria’s victory, one of his biggest rivals, Paddy Pimblett, entered the Octagon to face off with the champion.
In this potential matchup, the champion is a massive -625 favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, with Pimblett being a +455 underdog.
Pimblett is 7-0 in the UFC and most recently knocked out Michael Chandler at UFC 314 in April. Over the last few years, Topuria and Pimblett have had multiple issues. Pimblett hasn’t lost since September 2018 and has never been knocked out in his MMA career.
Although it seems like Topuria vs. Pimblett could be next, the UFC has yet to confirm that matchup. The UFC’s lightweight division is stacked with top-tier talent and has multiple contenders that could challenge Topuria next. Arman Tsarukyan and Justin Gaethje also have a case to get the next title opportunity at 155 pounds.
