The PGA TOUR heads to Silvis, Illinois, this week for John Deere Classic. TPC Deere Run will be the host course and measures as a 7,289-yard par 71 with Bentgrass greens.
We have another full-field, 156-man tournament this week with a 36-hole cut. The field is not quite as strong as the Rocket Classic last week, but still features the likes of Jason Day, Ben Griffin, Denny McCarthy and Si Woo Kim.
Below, I have outlined three of my favorite DraftKings plays for the week.

Ben Griffin ($10,400)
Griffin continued his remarkable 2025 season last week with a T13 finish at the Rocket Classic. He’s been on an absolutely torrid stretch of late, having finished T14 or better in each of his past six starts, which includes a win, runner-up and a pair of major championship top-10s.
He is by far the best player in this field right now, ranking No. 1 in Total Strokes Gained over his past 48, 36, 24, 16 and 12 rounds. The key to this ascension is likely his increased driving distance.
Griffin has added significant length off the tee this season, improving from 136th in driving distance in 2024 to 66th this year. Add the newly found length to his exceptional iron play and elite putting, and you get the results we have been seeing from him of late.
Griffin played TPC Deere Run for the first time last year, finishing T5, making him an even more attractive option this week. He is somehow not the most expensive golfer on the slate, putting him into lock button territory at just $10,400.
Mark Hubbard ($7,700)
Hubbard is in the midst of one of his hot stretches right now, having posted four top-13 finishes over his past seven starts, including a T13 last week at the Rocket Classic. During this stretch he ranks second in this field, behind only Griffin, in Total Strokes Gained, while sitting 21st in SG: Tee-to-Green and third in SG: Putting.
Hubbard has played TPC Deere Run seven times in his career, making the cut in each of his last four appearances, including T13 and T6 finishes in that time frame. This is the time of year where we should look to roster Hubbard, as he usually thrives in these alternate-field type birdie fests in the middle of the summer and early fall.
Despite his recent strong play, DraftKings left him at just $7,700 this week, making him arguably the best value in the range.
Zach Johnson ($6,900)
This is the one event of the year where Zach Johnson will be featured in this article. This is truly his Super Bowl, as he grew up in Iowa and has a deep connection with the John Deere brand. Johnson is also on the board of directors for this tournament.
He’s played this event 22 times in his career and won here back in 2012 while finishing runner up in 2013. Overall, Johnson has made the cut here every year dating back to 2007, which is a pretty remarkable feat. Even in the later stages of his career, Johnson has finished T35 and T26 here over the past two years.
He knows this course like the back of his hand and there’s absolutely zero reason not to jam him into lineups at just $6,900.
Also, in case you needed some further convincing, the 49-year-old just finished T8 at the Masters and T18 at the Valero Texas Open in two of his four most recent starts. On the year he’s made the cut six time in 10 events. Johnson absolutely has some good golf left in the tank and there will never be a better spot to deploy him than this week.
