It’s been a big year for the Air Max 95, and I’m not just talking about the return of the big bubble. Nike has put a lot of energy behind the silhouette, which is celebrating it’s 30th anniversary. From legendary OG colorways to collabs to GRs, the Air Max 95s are having a moment.
That moment continues with Nike’s collaboration with the legendary Levi’s on the 95s. Nike notes on SNKRS that…
This edition receives a denim overhaul with frayed raw edges, adding depth and texture throughout the two-tone woven upper. Matte finishes on the midsole and a red plate on the sole are complemented by the signature dollar bill artwork on the sockliner. A traditional red woven Levi’s® Red Tab, co-branding and special packaging highlight the partnership. Our original “Big Bubble” Max Air units provide supreme cushioning underfoot.
Of course, being a collab with Levi’s, Nike can’t help but note that this “slightly slimmed down silhouette” goes perfect with your favorite pair of jeans (surprise, surprise). Nike also adds that “the shoes will wear and develop character the more you wear them—making your pair a pure form of authentic self-expression.”
WNBA rookie sensation Paige Bueckers has been seen rocking the collab in tandem with special Nike-branded Levi’s denim clothing pieces. She also appeared in an ad for the collab (with a Husky, of course).
