Best Bets for Twins at Tigers on Sunday 6/29/25

After a busy Sunday afternoon on the diamonds, the focus of Major League Baseball on Sunday night will be on Comerica Park in Detroit where the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins meet for the rubber game of their three-game set. Let’s dive into the matchup and check out my best bets, picks and predictions for Twins at Tigers on 6/29/25.

The Tigers are 52-32 after getting a 10-5 win on Saturday, matching the Dodgers for the best record coming into Sunday’s action. They are 11 games ahead of the Guardians, who are in second place in the division and 11.5 games ahead of the Twins, who sit third. Minnesota is just 2.5 games out of the third wild-card spot, though, so it is still in the playoff hunt.

The Tigers are heavy -300 favorites on the moneyline for this matchup since they’re giving the ball to Tarik Skubal against Chris Paddack of the Twins. The over/under is 7.5 runs.

Check out all the options available on the MLB page of DK Sportsbook, and here is a look at my best bets for Twins at Tigers on Sunday night.

Riley Greene 3+ Hits + Runs + RBI (+135)

I highlighted Greene in my top home run props of Sunday night, and this is a modified version of that pick with extra paths to victory. He could get to 3+ with a home run, or he can get there several different ways as he takes on Paddack and the Twins.

Greene has 27 hits, 14 runs and 20 RBIs over his last 18 games, averaging 2.8 hits, runs and RBIs per contest. He had three hits and six hits, runs and RBIs on Saturday, and he has produced at least three in four of his last eight games.

On the season, he’s hitting .321 against right-handed pitching with 17 homers, a .419 wOBA and a 175 wRC+ on that side of the split. He doesn’t have much of a history against Paddack, but he’s been hot enough lately and has strong enough splits to jump on him at plus-money in this spot on Sunday night.

Chris Paddack over 2.5 earned runs allowed (-115)

Paddack has a 4.64 ERA and 4.28 FIP on the season and has gone 3-6 in his 16 outings. He has allowed at least four earned runs in each of his last three games, giving up a total of 16 earned runs in 14 innings against the Astros, Reds and Mariners.

Paddack has allowed a 43.2% hard-hit rate over the season and has served up 11 homers–six to lefties and five to righties. He has especially struggled on the road, where he has a 5.48 ERA and has allowed at least three earned runs in each of his last two outings.

The Tigers have been hitting the ball well over the last two weeks, with a .279 team batting average and an average of 6.2 runs per game. They got two runs in five innings off Paddack when they faced him back in April, but I think they’ll get at least three off him this time around given his recent struggles and how well they’ve been mashing.

HTH Total Bases: Byron Buxton over Colt Keith – Most Total Bases Moneyline (+115)

Even though I think the Tigers will get runs off Paddack and the Twins, I like grabbing Byron Buxton in a head-to-head total bases prop for the last of my best bets for Sunday Night Baseball.

Keith has 15 total bases in his last 10 games, and Paddack has held lefties to a .238 batting average on the season with a .298 wOBA. Keith had a pair of singles on Saturday and a triple on Friday, but he only had one total base in his three previous contests. He isn’t likely to put up a huge number on Sunday night, but the question is can Buxton get anything against Skubal and the Tigers.

Buxton comes into the tough matchup with plenty of great momentum with home runs in each of the first two games in this series and 34 total bases in his last 10 games. He would have won this prop each of the first two games in this series head-to-head with Keith and has been much better over his last 10 as well.

The big (and obvious) downside in rolling with the Buck truck on Sunday is that he’s facing Skubal for at least his first few at-bats. In his career, he is 2-for-16 against Skubal, but both of those hits were home runs. This season, he’s hitting .316 against lefties with a .433 wOBA, so even against Skubal, he could get a total base or two given his current form.

Once Skubal leaves the game, he also has the obvious advantage, so I like taking him at plus-money in this head-to-head prop on Sunday night.
