MLB Picks: Player Props and Team Props for Friday, June 27, 2025
Los Angeles Angels over 4.5 runs -115 vs. Washington Nationals
The Angels are well-positioned to sustain their recent offensive surge. Over their last five games, they’ve averaged 6.6 runs and will aim to maintain that momentum against the Nationals and Jake Irvin. Among pitchers starting tonight, Irvin has allowed the most home runs (16). The Angels have hit 35 home runs in June, the fifth-highest total in the league. Irvin’s performance has been worse than expected, with a 4.18 ERA and a 5.14 xERA. He has allowed at least three earned runs in four of his last five starts, so the Angels are likely to post big numbers against him and the bullpen tonight.
Tampa Bay Rays at Baltimore Orioles total bases over 25.5 -115
I love the total bases markets on DraftKings. Few things are more frustrating than a team collecting multiple hits but failing to drive in runs. This market eliminates the need for runs and focuses on the combined total bases from both teams. I expect several extra-base hits tonight with Ryan Pepiot and Tomoyuki Sugano pitching for their respective teams. Together, they’ve allowed 28 home runs, and both rely on contact for outs, particularly Sugano. As a result, both teams are likely to accumulate many bases. Sugano’s xERA is nearing 5.00, despite his ERA being 3.55. I believe the offenses will surpass the 25.5 total bases line for this game.
Ketel Marte 2+ total bases +105 vs. Miami Marlins
season, totaling 11 2/3 innings. He heavily relies on his four-seam fastball, throwing it nearly 50% of the time. Marte has excelled against this pitch from right-handed pitchers this season, posting a .646 wOBA and a .629 ISO. This dominance has contributed to his average of 2.1 total bases per game in 54 games. The +105 odds make this wager even more appealing.
