MLB Picks: Player Props and Team Props for Thursday, June 26, 2025
Kansas City Royals over 4.5 runs -115 vs. Tampa Bay Rays
It’s ideal hitting weather at Kauffman Stadium today, with temperatures in the 90s and winds blowing toward left-center field. The Rays will start Shane Baz, who struggled against the Royals earlier this season, allowing seven runs on nine hits and three walks in 5.2 innings. Baz’s 4.79 ERA aligns closely with his 4.12 xERA, reflecting his challenges. After Baz exits, the Rays’ bullpen, which has struggled recently, will take over. Over the past week, they pitched 21.1 innings, posting a 5.82 ERA, a 5.29 FIP, and a 2.08 HR/9.
Teoscar Hernandez 3+ total bases +105 vs. Colorado Rockies
The Dodgers have racked up 17 runs through two games at Coors Field, which, honestly, feels a bit tame. That could change today with Austin Gomber on the mound. After somehow blanking the Braves through five innings in his first start, the Diamondbacks torched him for nine runs on 12 hits in just 4.2 innings. Now, he faces an even tougher matchup against the Dodgers at Coors Field. I’m betting on Hernandez to notch at least three total bases, as righties are a massive weak spot for Gomber. Last season, over 165 innings, Gomber posted a .351 wOBA against right-handers, surrendering 21 of his 30 home runs to them. Hernandez, who always crushes lefties, is on another level this year. He’s rocking a .504 wOBA, a .392 ISO, and a 231 wRC+.
San Francisco Giants -0.5 run line through first five innings -115 vs. Miami Marlins
Janson Junk will be making his second start and seventh overall appearance for the Marlins today. He’s a regression candidate, as indicated by his 2.60 ERA and an xERA of 4.19. The Giants pose as a tough matchup for him, as they’ve been great against both the four-seam fastball and slider, his two main pitches. Junk’s four-seamer has been his trouble spot, as opposing hitters are batting .323 against it with an xBA of .345.
