The first round of the 2025 NBA draft is in the books. And it’s never too early to check out who are the leaders in 2026 Rookie of the Year odds. It all starts with new Dallas Mavericks star Cooper Flagg, of course.
Flagg projects to start alongside Anthony Davis and Klay Thompson. With Kyrie Irving sidelined due to an ACL injury, Flagg figures to handle a lot of touches out of the gate. No wonder he is opening at -200 to win Rookie of the Year on the DraftKings Sportsbook.
Dylan Harper, the No. 2 pick, clocks in second at +900. He projects to share the backcourt touches with DeAaron Fox. Stephon Castle, the reigning Rookie of the Year, will also get action. And of course, there’s that Victor Wembanyama guy. Harper figures to do plenty of winning in his rookie season, but it may not translate to the counting stats needed for a Rookie of the Year campaign.
Looking down the board, Ace Bailey is third at +1000. He should get plenty of touches when on the floor, but how Utah’s rotation will shake out is unclear. Tre Johnson is fourth at +1200 as a projected starter for the Wizards in the absence of Jordan Poole.
