This week’s Rocket Classic is a great PGA TOUR event if you’re a fan of low-scoring rounds stuffed with birdies. Detroit Golf Club is typically one of the most scorable layouts in the regular rotation and has hosted this event since 2019, so there is some solid course history to examine while building fantasy lineups. If you’re looking to build your bankroll this week, one way to do so is by checking out the cash game or double-up contests on DraftKings. My top fantasy golf cash game picks this week are Keegan Bradley ($10,400), Emiliano Grillo ($7,400) and Jake Knapp ($7,300).

The pivot plays for tournament lineups are more aggressive, while these three picks are generally safer with higher floors and lower risk. The picks in this post typically have much higher ownership than my pivot plays, but they are good selections for contests in which your lineup being unique is less important. Think of cash game picks as laying back and playing a par 5 as it was designed with three shots before reaching the green, looking for a solid birdie. Tournament picks are going driver off the deck to try to reach the green in two — more reward if it works, but much more risk, as well.
Just to be sure we’re all using the same terms, “cash games” are contests that pay out to about the top half of entries. Typically, they are in the 50/50s & Double Ups or Head-to-Head sections of the DraftKings lobby. In this format, it’s important to minimize risk and raise the floor of your entry rather than focusing too much on the ceiling.

Keegan Bradley ($10,400)
Captain Keegan was clutch on Sunday, securing a win at the Travelers Championship in dramatic fashion. He has been on a remarkable run this season and gets plenty of love from the fans who support him as the U.S. Ryder Cup captain. He fed on that energy last week and ultimately edged out Tommy Fleetwood to get his first win of the PGA TOUR season and eighth of his PGA TOUR career.
There’s always a little risk of a letdown playing the previous week’s champion, but this isn’t Bradley’s first rodeo, so I think he’ll deal with it just fine as he tees it up again this week.
Last season, Bradley did not play this event, but he did play this tournament in each of the previous four years. He made the cut in each visit with a pair of top-25 finishes. Two years ago right after he won at TPC River Highlands, he played the Rocket Mortgage Classic (this same event with now with a shiny new name) and finished T21.
His win last week was the culmination of great form from Bradley all season long. He had three top-20 finishes in his last four events prior to his victory with a T8 at the PGA Championship and a T7 at the Memorial. He has only missed one cut all season with nine top-25 finishes in his 15 events.
He leads the entire field in Total Strokes Gained per round over the last six months and ranks second in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green. Over the last 12 and the last 16 rounds he ranks only behind Ben Griffin in Total Strokes Gained, and his short game has also been extremely sharp during that window, ranking him third in Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green.
He should continue to find success at Detroit Golf Club and his win last week is only a boost to his positive momentum swing into the summer.
Emiliano Grillo ($7,400)
Grillo has also been red-hot as he cruises into the Motor City. He has four top-25 finishes in his last four events and has made the cut in nine of his last 10 events dating back to THE PLAYERS Championship.
Grillo started cooking with a T20 at the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic and stayed on fire with a T16 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, where he claimed a victory two years ago. He kept rolling with a T24 at the Canadian Open and a T19 at the U.S. Open before getting last week off since he didn’t play at the Travelers.
Over his last 16 rounds, Grillo tops the entire field in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green and Strokes Gained: Approach, and he ranks fourth in Total Strokes Gained. He comes in with good momentum in all areas of his game and could end up with a win if his putter joins the party.
This will be the third time that Grillo has played this event with a T39 in 2020 and a missed cut in 2021. He’s known as a streaky golfer but given his recent success, I’m comfortable using him as a cash game play this week in Detroit.
Jake Knapp ($7,200)
This week could be Knapp time! Knapp burst onto the scene just over a year ago with a win at the Mexico Open at Vidanta in similar scoring conditions to those expected this week. He has proven he can go low in a hurry to contend at low-scoring events, but his overall game has also been strong in 2025.
He comes into the week ranked No. 60 in the FedExCup standings after making the cut in 12 of 17 tournaments this season with five top-25 finishes. His best two finishes were a T6 at the Cognizant Classic where he started the week with an impressive 59, and he added a third-place finish at the Zurich Classic while teamed up with Frankie Capan III.
Knapp missed the cut at the PGA Championship and Charles Schwab Challenge after that strong showing at the Zurich, but bounced back with a T27 at the Canadian Open in his most recent event.
He has the kind of game that works on these low-scoring courses and brings a very high ceiling when he’s at the top of his game. He made the cut in his debut here last year, finishing T31. I think he’ll improve on that finish this year based on his driving distance and putting potential.
