Kristaps Porzingis trade: How Hawks’ acquisition impacted odds on DraftKings Sportsbook

On Tuesday evening, another big trade shook up the NBA landscape. This time it is Kristaps Porzinigs on the move, as he is headed to the Atlanta Hawks in a three team trade.

The trade will obviously have a huge impact on all three teams in the 2025-26 season and huge ramifications for the rest of the Association as well. In this post, we’ll take a look at how the odds shifted for the Hawks and Celtics on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Hawks and Celtics updated 2025-26 odds

In the 2024-25 season, the Hawks finished with a 40-42 record, good enough for the 9th best record in the Eastern Conference. They were eliminated in the 8th seed game of the NBA Play-In against the Miami Heat.

Before the trade went down, Atlanta was a +20000 longshot to win the NBA title next season. After the trade, their odds moved in the right direction to +12000.

For Boston, their championship odds moved in the wrong direction after this move. They went from +1600 to +2000 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
