Chase Burns, the Cincinnati Reds’ rookie starter, makes his highly anticipated MLB debut tonight at Great American Ball Park. The young pitcher dominated across Single-A, Double-A, and Triple-A this season, making 13 starts and logging 66 innings with a 1.77 ERA, a 2.13 FIP, 12.1 strikeouts per nine innings, and 1.7 walks per nine innings. Burns sent down Trent Grisham, Ben Rice and Aaron Judge to start his MLB career. According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, Burns’ velocity was on point as well.
