Athletics at Tigers game delayed due to rain Tuesday 6/24/25

START TIME UPDATE: Athletics at Tigers is expected to begin at 8 p.m. EST.

Tuesday evening’s matchup between the Athletics and Detroit Tigers will be delayed due to rain.

The game was originally scheduled for a 6:40 p.m. EST start, but a new start time is yet to be announced.

DraftKings Sportsbook lists the Tigers as extremely strong -339 Moneyline favorites at home, while the Athletics hold +263 odds of pulling off an upset. The run total sits at 7.5.

Once the contest begins, reigning AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal takes the mound for Detroit with a 2.06 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 117 strikeouts on the season. He faces Luis Severino of the Athletics, who holds a 4.42 ERA and 1.34 WHIP this year with 66 punchouts.

The Tigers hold sole possession of the MLB’s best record at 49-30 and are first in the AL Central standings. The Athletics are 32-48 and remain last in the AL West.
