The 2025 NBA Draft will take place tomorrow night from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. On Wednesday night, 30 players will hear their names called in the first round of the draft, but let’s examine where Arizona forward Carter Bryant could be selected.
Bryant, 19, averaged 6.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, one block, and one assist per game in his freshman season in Tucson, Arizona. Here is my best bet for Bryant in the 2025 NBA Draft on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Carter Bryant to be a Top 10 Draft Pick (+120)
Bryant’s statistics from his freshman season may not jump off the page, but he checks so many boxes for a potential elite NBA player. At 6’8″, he can play multiple positions and projects to be an elite defender. Although Bryant only started six games at Arizona, he was a valuable player with the Wildcats, who went to the Sweet 16.
In the March Madness NCAA Tournament, Bryant’s minutes increased, and so did his production. In three March contests, he averaged 8.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 1.3 blocks per contest while shooting 41.7 percent on three-pointers.
Many prospects in the NBA Draft are raw, with teams looking for players with the highest ceiling and most potential. As I previously discussed, Bryant didn’t have the elite statistical season like Cooper Flagg or Kon Knueppel, but he still possesses the skills to be an elite player in the NBA for years to come.
Bryant has an over-under draft position of 11.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The over is +150, and the under is -180. It is doubtful that Bryant will be a top-five pick, as his odds are +6000 to do so. The better play is to get him at +120 to be selected in the top 10.
It seems like Bryant’s draft range begins with the Brooklyn Nets at No. 8, with an intriguing option recently opening up at No. 10 with the Phoenix Suns. The Suns acquired the pick from the Houston Rockets last week, and Bryant staying in Arizona could be possible. With a new core of Devin Booker and Jalen Green, Bryant could be an excellent fit next to that star guard duo. Bryant might still be a few years away from a finished product, but if he puts it all together, he could be one of the steals of this draft.
