MLB Best Bets: Top Kyle Tucker player props for Cubs vs. Cardinals on 6/23/25

While most pundits believed the Chicago Cubs would have an improved season this year after acquiring star outfielder Kyle Tucker over the offseason, few predicted the team’s jump would be this drastic. At 46-31, the Cubbies sit first in the NL Central with the third-best winning percentage in the entire MLB. Tucker has played an integral role in their standout season thus far and will certainly do so again tonight.

On Monday evening, they visit the division-rival St. Louis Cardinals. Here’s the top Kyle Tucker prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for the contest.

King Tuck got out to a scorching start to the season, and while he cooled off a bit in late April, he quickly regained his form and has only improved with time. He slashes .285/.395/.528 on the season with 55 runs, 46 RBIs, and 15 HRs. Since the start of June, he’s slashing .295/.411/.557 as he looks to stay hotter than these summer months.

Tonight, Tucker and the Cubs face off against lefty Matthew Liberatore. The fourth-year southpaw has thrown 79.1 innings this season with a 4.08 ERA, but his 1.16 WHIP looks much better. With just 66 strikeouts he’s not a major threat to sit batters down swinging, but his 11 walks lead to an elite 6.00 K/BB.

Thankfully, Tucker does bat better against lefties with a .292 AVG and .944 OPS, while six of his 15 homers have come from these hurlers. Liberatore is also struggling a bit lately with a 5.17 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in his last seven games, another factor at play here.

The two lines I’m targeting for this one are over 1.5 total bases at +120 and 1+ home runs at +550. What’s the reasoning? Liberatore’s numbers on the year look solid enough, but he falls 11th percentile in average exit velo, 30th percentile in barrel percentage, and 19th percentile in hard-hit percentage. His 45.2% hard-hit percentage is the second-worst of his career and his 9.6% barrel percentage is a career-worst. Tucker remains an amazing hitter, so I think he takes advantage tonight and sends a hit or two deep into the outfield, if not over the wall.
