MLB Picks: Player Props and Team Props for Friday, June 20, 2025

Blade Tidwell over 2.5 earned runs allowed -120 vs. Philadelphia Phillies

After a rough MLB debut, Tidwell will make his second career start against the Phillies in Philadelphia. His first outing against the Cardinals was a disaster, surrendering six runs on nine hits, including a home run, and issuing three walks in just 3.2 innings. Now, he faces a Phillies lineup that averages over five runs per game at home, ranking sixth in the league. Tidwell struggled in Triple-A before his call-up, posting a 4.76 ERA and 4.29 FIP over 62.1 innings. Expect another brief start tonight, likely giving up at least three runs.

Arizona Diamondbacks over 18.5 team total bases -110 vs. Colorado Rockies

I’m expecting some serious offense at Coors Field tonight, especially from the Diamondbacks. The game total’s at 11.5, and the D-Backs’ team total bases are a whopping 18.5 (-115 to the over). Austin Gomber’s on the mound for the Rockies, and he’s been a pitcher to target for years. His five shutout innings against the Braves this week? Not impressed—I know the real Austin Gomber. Last season, he posted a 4.75 ERA, a 5.07 xERA, and a 1.6 HR/9 over 165 innings. With winds blowing out, the D-Backs should have a field day. This is a sky-high total bases line, but I’m expecting tons of contact to push them over 18.5.

Ronald Acuna Jr 3+ H/R/RBI +100 vs. Miami Marlins

Since returning from the injured list, Ronald Acuña Jr. has been exceptional. Through 24 games, he’s slashing .376/.490/.694 with eight home runs, 14 RBIs, 23 runs scored, and one stolen base. Remarkably, he’s recorded at least three hits, runs, or RBIs in 13 games, accounting for 54% of his season. Tonight, he faces Janson Junk, who makes his first official start. Junk has pitched multiple innings across five minor-league appearances, indicating he’s stretched out to start. However, his 2.78 ERA contrasts with a 4.66 xERA, suggesting regression is likely. Junk relies heavily on four-seam fastballs, against which Acuña Jr. has a .410 wOBA and .246 ISO since last season.
